Paper That Scrubbed 'Socialist' Description of Arapahoe Shooter Calls Phil Robertson 'Hate-Speech Spewer'

In two weeks, the Denver Post has clearly exhibited its far-left leaning.

After scrubbing the word "socialist" from an article about the Arapahoe High School shooter earlier in the month, the Post's television critic published a piece at her blog Saturday calling Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson a "hate-speech spewer" and fans of the show "hate-watchers":

The network, A&E, has welcomed patriarch and hate-speech spewer Phil Robertson back into the fold. The hiatus that was to be his punishment for homophobic and racist comments made in a GQ interview has been lifted.

So the paper that felt it was inappropriate to include a classmate's description of Arapahoe High School shooter Karl Pierson as "a very opinionated Socialist" has absolutely no problem calling Robertson a "hate-speech spewer."

But Joanne Ostrow didn't stop there:

A&E, which seized the moment to attract more viewers (fans and hate-watchers, both), proved that money is the first priority in TV programming. The network wins the craven capitalism prize.

Sarah Palin and other politicians who piled on, claiming Christianity as an excuse for hate speech, win the hypocrisy award. I’m no theologian, but vile bigoted comments would seem to qualify as unchristian.

So some of the fans of Duck Dynasty are "hate-watchers" and people who believe the Bible doesn't approve of homosexuality are vile bigots and unchristian.

Yet calling a killer a socialist at this paper is verboten.

Pretty clear where the Denver Post stands, isn't it?
