MSNBC's Deutsch: Trump to Base -- Black, Brown or Jewish Man 'Coming to Take Your Wife'

January 4th, 2019 7:45 AM

Just when you thought the liberal media couldn't sink any lower in its demented attacks on President Trump, along comes Donny Deutsch. On today's Morning Joe, Deutsch plumbed odious new depths with an allegation that Trump's last card is to prey on the sexual fears or insecurities of his supporters.

Said Deutsch:

"This is all [Trump] has left. That one metaphor, that one thing that talks to that 39, 40, 41% base that says: either the black man, or the brown man, or the Jewish man, or the media man, or the banker man is coming to take your wife. It's not your -- you're not in the position you're in because of you -- it's cause everybody else. That's all he has left."

Deutsch was commenting on President Trump's appearance in the White House briefing room yesterday. After graciously congratulating Nancy Pelosi on her re-ascension to the Speakership, Trump focused on border security, appearing with a number of Border Patrol agents. Scarborough had derisively described them as "Donald Trump and the three bald guys."

Between a newly-installed member of Congress vowing that they're going to "impeach the m-----f-----," and members of the media clack like Deutsch making the basest of accusations, the anti-Trump forces are off to an indescribably bad start. Keep it up, kids, and see how that plays out in 2020.

Morning Joe

JOE SCARBOROUGH: Let's show the picture of Donald Trump and the three bald guys behind Donald Trump.

MIKA BRZEZINSKI: Be nice.

JOE: I am being nice.

MIKA: I'm sure they're very nice.

JOE: I'm sure they're all wonderful human beings. I'm just talking about the image that he --

DONNY DEUTSCH: Men's Hair Club.

JOE: What was that about yesterday?

DEUTSCH: That was very clear. I mean, you have four white men [in fact, at least two of them were Hispanics], you have four stoic, strong white men of a certain age, not smiling, by the way. Look, this is all Donald has left. He has one thing. This wall is not a wall. It is a "let's keep America white again."

And basically he doesn't have the economy any more, he doesn't -- all the things he used to be able to point to, and say: "I'm a jerk, but." Not that he says, "I'm a jerk," but we look at him and he's a jerk, but. They're not there any more. This is all he has left. That one metaphor, that one thing that talks to that 39, 40, 41% base that says: either the black man, or the brown man, or the Jewish man, or the media man, or the banker man is coming to take your wife. It's not your -- you're not in the position you're in because of you -- it's cause everybody else. That's all he has left.
