NBC Celebrates Vile Leftist Samantha Bee’s 200th Episode

December 6th, 2021 3:45 PM

On Monday, NBC’s 3rd Hour Today show brought on leftist Full Frontal host Samantha Bee and celebrated the upcoming 200th episode of the vile comedian’s TBS show. The hosts gushed over the “huge milestone” being a “very big deal” and wondered how Bee could “raise the bar” with the show going forward. Of course no mention was made of the wildly offensive language that nearly got Bee fired in 2018.

“This morning, we are catching up with hilarious and incredibly busy Samantha Bee. Of course her late-night comedy show, Full Frontal With Samantha Bee, takes a satirical look at news and politics,” fill-in co-host Jacob Soboroff touted at the top of the 9:00 a.m. ET hour segment, skipping any mention of Bee’s radical left-wing ideology.

Co-host Sheinelle Jones hailed: “And she’s about to reach a huge milestone. Her 200th episode airs this week and she’s here this morning to tell us all about it.” After Jones and Soboroff congratulated Bee, Jones gushed that “It’s a very big deal.” Soboroff chimed in moments later, “200 episodes, huge deal.”

Rather than talk about Bee’s outrageous attacks on Republicans and conservatives, including her calling former First Daughter Ivanka Trump a “feckless c***t” in 2018, Jones instead lobbed softballs like: “First of all, you’ve had some awesome guests. Do you have a favorite or a few favorites?”

After chatting about her favorite celebrity guests, Bee bragged: “I feel like we’ve accomplished a lot in our little 200 episodes.” Jones applauded: “You have.” Bee remarked on how “proud” she was of the incendiary program.

Jones cheered on the show: “I hate to say, ‘So now what’s next?,’ but do you keep doing more of the same, do you try to raise the bar?” Bee assured: “...we try to have fun with the show, so we’re always, like, just throwing the best stuff at the wall.”

“And so we’re kind of going into this next midterm year in a state of, you know, like, fear, and trying to make hay with what is given to us,” Bee noted, clearly worried that Democrats may be headed for massive electoral defeat in 2022.

Soboroff wondered how the leftist bomb-thrower would “approach” the upcoming campaign season:

Well, and the hay you were making before was in Donald Trump’s America. Now we’re in Joe Biden’s America. With the midterms coming up, it’s always intense, are you going to get on the road? What are you going to do? How are you going to approach it?

Bee promised to go across the country: “I think we probably will get on the road. I think by the time that all gets rolling, we’ll be out exploring the world. Like I’m going to go to D.C. today...”

Wrapping up the friendly sit-down, Jones swooned: “Well, congratulations. Two hundred episodes is quite an accomplishment....So I hope you’re able to receive it and enjoy before you head back out.” Bee responded that she was “basking” in the continuation of her show.

The 3rd Hour Today show has history of promoting Bee. In 2018, while the liberal host was still embroiled in controversy over her disgusting insult of Ivanka Trump, Soboroff tried to use the “she’s a comedian” defense to excuse attack. When interviewing Bee in 2019, co-host Craig Melvin wondered if she had been able to “learn” anything from the incident. Bee smugly declared: “I didn’t learn much.” Melvin and fellow co-host Al Roker replied with laughter.

Back in February, Bee appeared on the show and touted how, with President Biden taking office, “we’re having so much fun now....feeling that adults are in charge a little bit gives us some freedom to talk about stuff we want to talk about, but also have fun and have musical guests on and just we’re having so much more joy in our jobs right now, and that is – we need that.”

Leftists like Bee can hurl the most vile verbal assaults imaginable and they’ll still be treated like “hilarious” entertainers by their allies in the equally left-wing news media.

This celebration of Bee still being on the air despite her outrageous behavior was brought to viewers by Dunkin’ Donuts and Walmart. You can fight back by letting these advertisers know what you think of them sponsoring such content.

Here is a transcript of excerpts from the December 6 segment:

9:32 AM ET

JACOB SOBOROFF: Welcome back to the 3rd Hour of Today. This morning, we are catching up with hilarious and incredibly busy Samantha Bee. Of course her late-night comedy show, Full Frontal With Samantha Bee, takes a satirical look at news and politics.

SHEINELLE JONES: And she’s about to reach a huge milestone. Her 200th episode airs this week and she’s here this morning to tell us all about it. Good morning and congratulations.

SOBOROFF: Congrats.

SAMANTHA BEE: Thank you so much.

JONES: Two hundred episodes.

BEE: It’s a big deal.

JONES: It’s a very big deal.

BEE: It’s a very big deal, yeah.

(...)

SOBOROFF: So, 200 episodes, huge deal. Rumor has it you’re doing something pretty epic to celebrate.

BEE: Yes, we – well, for one thing....For one thing, I’m going to go to D.C. today, I’m going to film in D.C. But also, I got – I may or may not have gotten a tattoo to commemorate.

(...)

JONES: Okay, let’s talk about the show. First of all, you’ve had some awesome guests. Do you have a favorite or a few favorites?

BEE: I have a few favorites, for sure, for sure. Well, I mean, Sigourney weaver did the show. We did an Aliens parody for the our second Not the White House Correspondence Dinner. And that was epic for me because I’m such a huge fan. We’ve had Lizzo on the show, we’ve been like the first stop for a lot of musical acts.

JONES: And you had Lizzo when she was like –

BEE: Kind of like on the way [up]. And David Duchovny. We’ve just had a lot of super special friends come on the show and it’s been amazing.

JONES: That’s awesome.

BEE: I feel like we’ve accomplished a lot in our little 200 episodes.

JONES: You have.

BEE: I’m so proud.

(...)

JONES: So then now, I guess – I hate to say, “So now what’s next?,” but do you keep doing more of the same, do you try to raise the bar?

BEE: Well, we try to – I mean, for one thing, we try to have fun with the show, so we’re always, like, just throwing the best stuff at the wall. Like I love my writers and my producers and correspondents, it’s such a collaborative experience. And so we’re kind of going into this next midterm year in a state of, you know, like, fear, and trying to make hay with what is given to us.

SOBOROFF: Well, and the hay you were making before was in Donald Trump’s America. Now we’re in Joe Biden’s America.

BEE: Sure, yeah.

SOBOROFF: With the midterms coming up, it’s always intense, are you going to get on the road? What are you going to do? How are you going to approach it?

BEE: I think we probably will get on the road. I think by the time that all gets rolling, we’ll be out exploring the world. Like I’m going to go to D.C. today, we’re kind of normalizing our experience. And you’ve got to get out – you know, you’ve got to get there, you’ve got to talk to people. So we'll all be triple, quadruple, quintuple vaxxed, and we’ll just –

SOBOROFF: Just get them all.

BEE: Get them all, I don’t know.

JONES: Well, congratulations. Two hundred episodes is quite an accomplishment.

BEE: Thank you so much.

JONES: So I hope you’re able to receive it...

BEE: I am receiving.

JONES: ...and enjoy before you head back out.

BEE: Yes, basking.

JONES: There you go.
