With Biden in Office, Vile Leftist Sam Bee Declares She Can Now ‘Have Fun’

February 10th, 2021 12:02 PM

On Wednesday’s 3rd Hour Today show, nasty far-left late night host Samantha Bee was treated to a softball interview promoting the new season of her TBS show Full Frontal. Rather than grill Bee on her wildly offensive rhetoric over the years, the host gushed over her supposed “comedy” and wondered how she would “pivot” now that Joe Biden was in the White House. In response, she declared that she was finally able to relax and “have fun” with Democrats in power.

“The last four years of your show, there was an administration that gave you a lot of material,” co-host Al Roker touted, referencing Bee’s relentless and often disgusting attacks on the Trump White House. He then wondered: “Now there’s a new administration....how are you pivoting?” Bee was overjoyed and signaled that her job would be a lot easier now that she was a fan of the new president:

It’s been an effortless pivot for us. I have to say that we really – like I have never been able to do the show without the specter of the administration kind of, like, looming behind my back. And so we’re having so much fun now....feeling that adults are in charge a little bit gives us some freedom to talk about stuff we want to talk about, but also have fun and have musical guests on and just we’re having so much more joy in our jobs right now, and that is – we need that.

Certainly a far cry from when Bee went on her show in 2018 and called First Daughter Ivanka Trump a “feckless c**t.” While she later apologized because her advertisers were fleeing, Bee appeared on the 3rd Hour Today show in late 2019 and admitted that she “didn’t learn much” from the scandal.

During Bee’s Wednesday appearance on the program, co-host Sheinelle Jones heaped praise on the incendiary “comedian,” proclaiming:

And here’s the reality, you have such a range. Because one moment we’re laughing and then you find a way to infuse, you know, real things. You’ve had segments about domestic violence, paid family leave, trans rights, which you won, you know, a GLAAD award for. You know, how has that been, to be able to infuse those things in late night?

Bee bragged: “I’m really proud of the work that we do. I’m really proud of the team that – we’re just like such – we’re just such a great group of people...” She then argued that her show was some kind of public service: “I feel like comedy is a great delivery system for actual information. And so we do comedy and then we sneak in, like you sneak in the spinach, you know what I mean?” Jones agreed: “Give them their veggies, yeah.”

Bee’s eagerness to “have fun” and feature “musical guests” on her show now that a Democrat is in the White House, echoed comments from her fellow liberal late night host Jimmy Kimmel, who told his ABC audience that so far there has been “nothing to criticize” about Biden.

Rather than use comedy to hold the powerful accountable regardless of ideology or party affiliation, the so-called comedians that dominate the media airwaves have made it clear that their committed to being Democratic hacks first and foremost.

NBC’s fawning chat with Bee was brought to viewers by Capital One and Advil. You can fight back by letting these advertisers know what you think of them sponsoring such content.

Here is a transcript of the February 10 exchange:

9:43 AM ET

SHEINELLE JONES: Welcome back. Samantha Bee holds the record for the longest serving correspondent on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Now, her show, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, is in it’s sixth season. And this morning, the late-night host is up early and pretty in pink, to chat with us.

AL ROKER: The last four years of your show, there was an administration that gave you a lot of material. Now there’s a new administration. How are you – how are you pivoting?

SAMANTHA BEE: It’s been an effortless pivot for us. I have to say that we really – like I have never been able to do the show without the specter of the administration kind of, like, looming behind my back. And so we’re having so much fun now. We have, like, great special guests on tonight’s show. We have, like, Dr. Anthony Fauci – I’m sorry, we have Jimmy Smits as Dr. Anthony Fauci. [Laughter]

CRAIG MELVIN: Alright.

BEE: Just an absolute tour de force. And so, not feeling that, you know – feeling that adults are in charge a little bit gives us some freedom to talk about stuff we want to talk about, but also have fun and have musical guests on and just we’re having so much more joy in our jobs right now, and that is – we need that. It’s pink blazer time.

JONES: I love it.

BEE: Well, I think it’s been a great journey for us. I’m really proud of the work that we do. I’m really proud of the team that – we’re just like such – we’re just such a great group of people and we enjoy each other’s company so much. And so getting to do this material with the dynamic variants of the show is something I’m so – I’m so, so proud of. I feel like comedy is a great delivery system for actual information. And so we do comedy and then we sneak in, like you sneak in the spinach, you know what I mean?

JONES: Give them their veggies, yeah.
