Nets Skip Out on Good Guy With Gun Who Stopped Shooting

The news media loves to talk about guns, just not when they're used to save lives. Take for instance the fear mongering over 3D printed guns that took over network and cable news coverage last week, or the coverage of the tragic fatal shooting that took place over a parking spot dispute in Florida a few weeks back. But this past weekend, a major mass shooting that could have ended in numerous casualties and injuries was prevented by a good guy with a gun, and the liberal networks had nothing to say about it.

The Washington Post reported this morning that over the weekend at a family event at a park in Florida,(ironically themed, “Peace in the Park,”) a man got into a fistfight with another man, left, and returned with a gun. He opened fire in the crowded park, with bullets flying past children and parents. Fortunately, an armed bystander approached the gunman and after the shooter raised his weapon again, the second man shot him and effectively ended the shooting spree, before any other injuries could happen. If that man had not had a gun, this incident could’ve ended much differently.

While all three networks and cable news covered that tragic parking lot shooting, no mention has been made of this positive gun story on ABC, NBC or CBS, even though ABC's own website did provide the story. Fox News however did cover it in a brief on Fox and Friends August 6th:
