The Media Uses The Left's Talking Points Against Kavanaugh

The left has been in a frenzy since Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court on Monday. They’ve found their ammunition against the nominee in a 2009 article for the Minnesota Law Review written by Kavanaugh, in which he argued that a president should be exempt from investigation and civil suits until they are out of office or impeached and removed from office. The D.C. Circuit Court judge noted in the article that it would take an act of Congress to change the law, which would take pressure off the shoulders of those who have the world’s most stressful job.

The media has started their full offensive against Kavanaugh, led by the fearless Democratic Senate Leader Chuck Schumer’s talking points. Since his short press conference on Tuesday, where he blasted Kavanaugh, the liberal media have paraded around Schumer’s accusations. All that will be discussed from here on out is the proposition that President Trump picked Kavanaugh in order to cover him through the Mueller investigation.

Democrat members of Congress have already jumped at the opportunity to lash out at Kavanaugh prior to the confirmation hearings. Senator Jeff Merkley (D-OR), sent two tweets claiming Trump picking Kavanaugh was no coincidence. He seemed most concerned that Trump may be given the power to pardon himself:

California Representative Adam Schiff also commented, despite not being involved in the confirmation process:

Of course, Jim Acosta found a way to chime in:

Apart from tweets and broadcast media, publications jumped on the pile as well. Articles from sites such as Slate, Politico, and The Guardian all followed the Democrat talking points. This is not the first time the media have been fed from the hand of the left. On the night of Kavanaugh’s nomination, NewsBusters discovered that MSNBC hosted 27 liberal guests and not one single conservative. The real collusion seems to be between the Democrats and the media.
