'Teachers' Performs Global Warming Music Act: 'We're All Gonna Die!'

TVLand’s Teachers is about to wrap up its third season. What better way to celebrate that than through another leftist push? In this penultimate episode, we get one bizarre salute to the religion of climate change.

The August 7 episode “Step By Stepsister” features a talent show at Fillmore Elementary School, and art teacher Ms. Cannon (Caitlin Barlow) tries to get some non-conventional students to participate. However, being a liberal, Ms. Cannon has to attach it to a social justice cause. This time, the cause is climate change because, as she tells the children, the Earth is dying. I suppose spouting left-leaning buzz words is a talent somewhere.

Despite the fact that only two students are interested, Ms. Cannon manages to construct an entire musical act about global warming, complete with a papier-mâché planet. Then we bear witness to the strangest performance you’ll see all week.

Ms. Adler: Next up, Ms. Cannon and two students.

Ms. Cannon: ♪♪ Earth is our mother ♪♪ ♪♪ She gave us life ♪♪ ♪♪ Listen to our song ♪♪ ♪♪ And save her from strife ♪♪♪♪ Mankind is murdering ♪♪ ♪♪ The Earth! ♪♪ ♪♪ Methane, water vapor, carbon dioxide ♪♪ ♪♪ It warms our planet ♪♪♪♪ Kills her from the inside ♪♪ ♪♪ What is true, through all this clatter ♪♪ ♪♪ Does anyone care about Black Lives Matter? ♪♪ - We're all gonna die!

Ms. Bennigan: Wow. Global warming? Someone call Nelly, 'cause it' getting hot in hurrr.

Somehow, I doubt this will change any hearts or minds. And it certainly won’t change evidence that proves mankind is indeed not murdering the earth. Kudos for sneaking in a reference to the Black Lives Matter movement, though. Now the scene references two leftist agendas I won’t believe.

I’ll give the show this, it looks like we’re supposed to laugh at the nonsense we just heard. But, considering that in the past few years, we’ve arguments about jailing climate skeptics, that may not be the case for long. Let’s enjoy it while we can.
