MSNBC Exploits 10-Year Old Rape Victim To Promote Abortion

If there is one thing liberals in the media love, it is exploitation. If there's another thing the leftist media loves, it is promoting abortion. One should not be surprised then to see MSNBC's Thomas Roberts exploit the rape of a 10-year-old girl to call for the abortion of her child.

Roberts kicked off the topic on Tuesday by noting, "Human rights [are] organizations calling on officials in Paraguay to allow a 10-year-old, let me repeat, a 10-year-old rape victim to end her pregnancy."

He then showcased a pro-abortion MSNBC promo (complete with sad piano) begging people to stop the mean people from protecting the unborn child's life. The graphics read: "A 10-year-old girl is pregnant after being raped by her stepfather. And Paraguay won't let her get an abortion...She's already 22 weeks pregnant. Authorities say unless the pregnancy becomes dangerous they won't let her abort."

Funny how, despite no apparent threat to the victim's life, MSNBC and "human rights organizations" immediately resort to abortion as the best solution, as if that will fix anything. They do nothing to dispute contentions of the director of Paraguay's Health Care Programs that "Right now, there is no reason to interrupt the pregnancy." They simply assert, without evidence, that performing an abortion on a 10-year-old girl is a healthy course of action.

Also curious is that MSNBC devotes no time to calling for the harsh punishment of the child rapist; apparently promoting abortion rights takes precedent over that minor detail.

Perhaps the most ironic quality of this pro-abortion advertisement is that it showcases a living, animated child in the womb along side the caption, "She's already 22 weeks pregnant."

This is especially odd, considering that the abortion lobby has built itself on the foundation that the child is not human and yet, this pro-abortion animation clearly gives the opposite (and accurate) impression.

What this means is anyone's guess. Perhaps the animation was poorly thought out. Maybe it is a sign that the abortion lobby is finally close to admitting that the child is alive and just doesn't care.

In any case, MSNBC continues the leftist media tradition of exploiting rape victims to promote their political agenda. And they call conservatives anti-women.
