Having missed Tuesday’s primary results coverage due to his wife Kathleen losing her Maryland congressional race, MSNBC’s Hardball host Chris Matthews returned with a vengeance on Wednesday to accuse Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz of having “given up on his brain” in fighting Donald Trump and joked that Cruz is a bigamist for his many political “marriages.”

In the first few minutes of his return to MSNBC on Wednesday afternoon after his wife Kathleen finished a distant third in her Maryland congressional race, Hardball host Chris Matthews branded himself quite the hypocrite as he repeatedly harped on the fact that Ted Cruz running mate Carly Fiorina “is a three-time loser” in her political career and thus “pathetic.”

On Wednesday, NBC’s Today and CBS This Morning agreed that the Republican primary race was “over” and openly mocked Donald Trump’s opponents. On Today, co-host Savannah Guthrie asked: “So Trump is calling himself the presumptive nominee. Almost on cue when it became clear that GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz would announce Carly Fiorina as his running mate, MSNBC and host Erica Hill brought on EMILY’s List President Stephanie Schriock for a round of softballs to viciously smear yet another conservative woman as “a photo-op” versus an opponent like Hillary Clinton who has been “a champion her entire life for women and families…

One way The Washington Post builds disgust toward Donald Trump and Ted Cruz is quite predictable: seek out Muslims who accuse them of “destabilizing” the self-esteem of Muslim school children. On the front of Tuesday’s Metro section came an article headlined “Election-Year Lessons: Muslim educators are using presidential candidates’ attack on their faith as a teaching tool.”

Good Morning America’s George Stephanopoulos on Wednesday continued his role as a Hillary Clinton surrogate, hyping criticism of Donald Trump as “sexist.” The former Bill Clinton operative singled out the businessman’s comment that “if Hillary were a man, I don’t think she’d get five percent of the vote.” Stephanopoulos demanded, “What exactly did you mean by that? During CNN’s election night coverage Tuesday, sparks flew when CNN commentator and NewsBusters contributor Jeffery Lord sparred with Paul Begala the head of the Pro-Hillary Clinton Super PAC Priorities USA. Begala was defending a deceptive ad his organization produced in 2012 that claimed Governor Mitt Romney killed a steel worker’s wife by canceling his healthcare coverage. 

In the early stages of Tuesday’s primary results coverage, Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd repeatedly declared on NBC and MSNBC that the outcome of the Acela Primary marked “the beginning of the end of this primary battle” and a near fatal blow to the Stop Trump movement leading to Trump legitimizing his status as the party’s nominee.

On Tuesday the New York attorney general announced that the class action lawsuit accusing Donald Trump of fraud, for his failed Trump University, will be going to trial. Of the big three new networks only NBC failed to report on the major news about the GOP front-runner. Not only was the public told that Trump would be called on to testify but the news broke during a very important primary day. 

Similar to the saying about the only certain things are death and taxes, one certainty when covering the liberal media is that MSNBC will complain about voter ID laws and little to no early voting being voter suppression efforts and Tuesday night was no different with the culprits being Rachel Maddow and disgraced former NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams.
