In a Wednesday move that was both praised and criticized, President Trump revoked the Top Secret security clearance for Obama-era CIA director and major Trump-critic John Brennan. The former spook is now an NBC News analyst, so the network didn’t take too kindly to their guy losing the mighty privilege he was granted.
In an exclusive interview with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey on Wednesday, NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt wanted to know how the company went about suspending the account of deranged internet conspiracy theorist Alex Jones. And using that as a springboard, Holt wanted to know if President Trump violated the rules, like Jones did, with his “dog” tweet about former White House staffer Omarosa Manigault Newman.
With just a couple of hours until the polls closed in Tuesday's Minnesota primaries, liberal broadcast networks ABC, CBS, and NBC all ignored the domestic violence accusations swirling around Democratic Congressman Keith Ellison, who was running for the Democratic Party’s nomination for state attorney general. Since the allegations broke late Saturday night, only CBS had dedicated any airtime to the charges.
For months now, the Trump administration has been trying to get Turkey hand over American Christian pastor Andrew Brunson after he was arrested on what have been described as trumped-up charges linked to the failed military coup attempt in 2016. But during Monday’s NBC Nightly News, the network just wasn’t having it and was worried President Trump was the one hurting the relationship with a NATO ally.
Over the weekend, allegations of domestic violence by Democratic Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellison surfaced claiming he “emotionally and physically” abused his then-longtime girlfriend Karen Monahan. The allegations were serious enough for news outlets like Fox News and CNN to cover but ABC and NBC failed to do so. And while they covered the story Monday morning, CBS dropped it come that evening.
Shortly before a white supremacist rally was to be held outside the White House, ABC’s Good Morning America touted the ramblings of disgraced former White House staffer Omarosa Manigault Newman. In her new book, ironically called Unhinged, she described the President as a “racist, bigot, and misogynist,” so, of course, the liberal media were enthralled. So much show that they touted a TMZ video of her suggesting President Trump wanted a “race war”.
On the one-year anniversary of the deadly Charlottesville protests, white supremacists and radical leftists known as Antifa descended on the Virginia town once more to commit more violence. Late Saturday night, NBC News reporter Cal Perry and his crew were in the thick of it as Antifa members ganged up on them and attacked. The next morning, NBC’s Sunday Today ignored the attack and suggested the media was simply “heckled” by their assaulters.
On Thursday afternoon, the Daily Caller reported that a former Ohio State University wrestler recanted his statement regarding Rep. Jim Jordan. The wrestler, Mark Coleman, originally claimed that Jordan had knowledge of sexual abuse by deceased OSU physician Dr. Richard Strauss. Coleman now says, “at no time did I ever say or have any direct knowledge that Jim Jordan knew of Dr. Richard Strauss’s inappropriate behavior.”
First Lady Melania Trump’s parents, Viktor and Amalija Knavs took the oath to become U.S. citizens on Thursday but NBC Nightly News was not having it. The broadcast network speculated that they received special treatment in the process and possibly used chain migration, a program the President opposes, even though the process still exists and still legal.
The disturbing reports about the mysterious New Mexico compound were 11 starving children and one little boy’s body were found grew even darker on Wednesday, after court documents were released alleging that the kids were being trained to carry out school shootings. Despite those revelations, ABC’s World News Tonight and CBS Evening News still refused to report the connection to Muslim extremism by the five adults there.
If you’re a politician with “D” at the end of your name, it grants you certain privileges from an all too friendly press. They go easy on you in interviews, give you the benefit of the doubt, and if you’re ever charged or convicted of a serious crime, they’ll mostly ignore it. This double standard was on full display Wednesday when New York GOP Congressman Chris Collins was arrested for alleged insider trading.
As we continue to get updates on more gruesome discoveries and the squalid living conditions at a New Mexico compound that included 11 starving children (ages one to 15) and the dead body of one child, one key detail had gone totally unreported by the major broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC): The ties to radical Islam.
