In the first month of 2020, Fox Sports gave to us its rejection of pro-life Super Bowl ads – while accepting drag queens, social justice warriors and gun control. The pro-life group Faces of Choice attempted to purchase advertising time, but never got a response from Fox. NBC reporter Liam Knox called the drag queen ad "barrier-breaking.”

LGBT royalty Billie Jean King and Megan Rapinoe are among the 176 women who signed a friend of the court brief demanding the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit (aka “Ninth Circus”) overturn Idaho’s law H.B. 500 requiring athletes to compete with the teams of their actual gender.

In an Undefeated feature story on Philadelphia 76ers coach Doc Rivers, author Roger Reeves slammed America as a nation that prefers its African Americans dead in this “killing season.” Rivers is labeled anti-American, but only in the spirit of Malcolm X, Muhammad Ali and Cong. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, for regarding the nation as one that peddles a lie of freedom to the world.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has once again really stepped in it with his size 16 shoes, and he’s getting plenty of blowback for dunking on celebrities for straying from left-wing talking points. They deserve cancellation, the former NBA star wrote in the Hollywood Reporter on December 17.

It started last January, but few were paying attention then. On Wednesday, Major League Baseball announced that it is elevating Negro League baseball to the status of Major League. In short time, race-mongering media began to demand that the surviving players and family members from the 1920-1948 Negro League era receive reparations from MLB.

This year in American sports was more of a movement than a time of athletic achievement. It was also about staying safe from COVID-19, speaking out for Black Lives Matter, racial justice and political activism, and opposing systemic racism and voter suppression. The New York Times’ review of the year gives deference to off-the-court/field issues over championships won. 

Though few believe it, ESPN swears that it’s not a political network. Many of its personalities just happen to hate conservatives. Keith Olbermann and former SportsCenter co-host Jemele Hill are legendary among them, and a few days ago, ESPN’s Domonique Foxworth bashed the Buffalo Bills’ quarterback Josh Allen and his American flag- and dog-loving fans.

Spread over last weekend and the approaching weekend, the NFL is allowing its players to wear customized spikes promoting various causes. SB Nation Outsports is miffed that no NFL players have ever chosen to wear LGBTQ-specific shoes for the My Cause My Cleats promotion and, to its chagrin, three players chose to support the so-called anti-gay Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).

Had enough 24/7 social justice and Black Lives Matter with your football yet? Before you answer, know this: CBS and the National Football League don’t believe you have. They’re planning to double down on political correctness and virtue signaling in the upcoming Super Bowl game, set to be played Feb. 7 in Tampa.

Don’t be a sore loser, don’t damage the game. This is the condescending advice given to President Donald Trump by Washington Post sportswriter Thomas Boswell, who demands he accept defeat or find a new job.
