Donald Trump Jr.
Threatening and violent social media posts and overt actions against Trump administration officials and their families have escalated sharply in recent days. Apparently, some are taking the lack of outrage as permission for expanding the scope of their efforts. Thus, it's not enough to threaten the President's 12 year-old son Barron, as Peter Fonda did. This week, a Canadian TV writer threatened his four-year-old granddaughter. What's next? Cousins and in-laws? This incident has received some press coverage — in the UK, but virtually none in the U.S. establishment press.
Liberals were very upset when Republican rallies would break out into cries of "Lock her up!" about Hillary Clinton. But they cheer and applaud when the target of the "going to jail" remarks is Donald Trump, Jr. On ABC's The View on Tuesday, Joy Behar suggested the president's older son will end up "in jail. Hurry up girls, the feds are gonna get him!" The topic was a gossipy interview Trump's first wife Ivana gave to the New York Post.
The liberal Daily Beast website broke out in protest over a lack of decency on HBO...as if their decency was their reputation. The headline was "Bill Maher Cruelly Mocks Donald Trump Jr. Over His Divorce: The Real Time host was the only late-night comedian to tackle the unfortunate news." They even added the word "SAD" over the top for extra scolding.
During an interview you would not see on such liberal cable television channels as CNN or MSNBC, radio host Mark Levin slammed Democratic Congressman Adam Schiff (Calif.) while the conservative activist was a guest on Wednesday evening’s edition of the Fox News Channel's Hannity .
On Tuesday and Wednesday, CNN's New Day has given sympathetic attention to the case of an immigrant from Poland -- Dr. Lukasz Niec -- who is in danger of being deported because of a combination of misdemeanors committed in 1992 combined with more recent brushes with the law, including accusations of child abuse. After initially portraying the case as just involving misdemeanors from over 25 years ago, New Day finally filled in viewers on some of his more recent brushes with the law, but ignored the abuse accusation and downplayed his other problems as mostly being "minor traffic violations."
On Friday morning, CNN anchors were freaking out as President Donald Trump used the occasion of record-low temperatures on the East Coast to take a jab at global warming theory. On CNN's Early Start program, co-host Dave Briggs repeatedly called Trump's tweet "bizarre," and CNN's New Day also dealt with the story in the first half hour of the show.
There's no doubt that CBS’s Madam Secretary was inspired from the beginning by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Despite an overcrowded season of topics ranging from fake news stories to the Earth fighting back against global warming, the show finally returns to its roots for another Hillary fantasy. This time, she takes on the infamous but also fictional Russian leaks.
The Washington Post enjoys playing the game “Heads We Win, Tails You Lose” when anonymous sources lead journalists into looking stupid. The Post, among others, exposed how CNN reported an embarrassingly inaccurate story about Donald Trump Jr. and Wikileaks, using anonymous sources. When Trump Jr. responded by speculating on those sources, the Post wrote a snippy article (and tweets) on how Donald Jr. slammed CNN “without evidence.” The sources are anonymous -- they are hiding the evidence.
With the publication of a Friday afternoon story on The Washington Post’s website, CNN was dealt another embarrassing blow to its credibility thanks to a significant error in the date of a September 2016 e-mail to then-candidate Trump, Donald Trump Jr., and others in their orbit about a WikiLeaks document dump.
On Tuesday's New Day, CNN host Chris Cuomo and Ohio Republican Rep. Jim Jordan got into a contentious debate over whether the Justice Department should appoint a special counsel to investigate Hillary Clinton over the Uranium One deal, and over the issue of the Clinton campaign seeking out information on Donald Trump from Russia. Cuomo was dismissive of the Republican effort, calling it a "political spitball contest," and suggesting that it was just "tit for tat" because of Robert Mueller's investigation into President Donald Trump's campaign.
Halloween is when kids dress up in costume and parents share cute pictures of their kids on social media. Leave it to bitter liberal Hollywood to ruin one child’s picture. Donald Trump Jr. tweeted a photo of his daughter, Chloe, with the caption, “I’m going to take half of Chloe’s candy tonight and give it to some kid who sat at home. It’s never to early to teach her about socialism.” Socialist Hollywood was quick to jump on this statement, retweeting the child’s picture and the caption with their own views. Amber Tamblyn, the actress who declared war on conservatives, called the picture and the caption “whiteness,” saying that “it’s beyond commentary on socialism. It’s a viewpoint only extreme privilege can afford.”
Friday morning, ABC’s Good Morning America rewarded it’s newly lauded national treasure, late-night host Jimmy Kimmel with a fawning interview, applauding his liberal activism on health care and gun control. Not only that, but news reader Amy Robach stayed silent as Kimmel pummelled the Trump family with gay jokes and nasty insults, along with his critics, whom he glowingly called “gun nuts.”
