On Monday's Amanpour & Co. PBS and CNN International host Christiane Amanpour cued up her guest, Connecticut Democratic Senator Chris Murphy, to promote his anti-gun views as the two spoke during a segment that was mostly devoted to the pandemic.

Why would Republican appear on the "mainstream" Sunday shows? You could wonder after Sen. Ron Johnson was disgusted by moderator Chuck Todd's "very biased opening" segment on Meet the Press, and Todd openly fought with him and wouldn't let him finish a point as Johnson tried to tell Todd what he should ask John Brennan later in the show. Brennan received gooey sympathy.
