CNN Money: 'Obamacare Patients Are Sicker and Pricier Than Expected'

March 30th, 2016 11:45 PM
Nobody could have seen this coming. That's sarcasm, folks. Everyone but those who somehow thought that hope would somehow triumph over experience in the kinds of patients who would utilize Obamacare saw this coming. CNN Money Senior Writer Tami Luhby is reporting, with some apparent surprise, that "Obamacare patients are sicker and pricier than expected" (bolds are mine; HT Twitchy):

Mark Zandi, Moody's chief economist, comments monthly on the ADP private-sector employment report his firm compiles. He is "often quoted in national and global publications and interviewed by major news media outlets, and is a frequent guest on CNBC, NPR, Meet the Press, CNN, and various other national networks and news programs." Zandi has also been the economy's head cheerleader during much of…

Blogger: ‘Bat-Sh*t Crazy’ GOPers Still Won’t Admit Obamacare Works

March 30th, 2016 8:39 PM
“I’ve made up my mind -- don’t confuse me with the facts” could be Republicans’ unofficial motto when it comes to Obamacare, suggested New York magazine’s Jonathan Chait in a Tuesday post concerning decreased growth in health-care costs. Chait asserted that “some aspects of the lower health-care-inflation rate can be clearly tied to Obamacare reforms,” though he allowed that “it’s impossible to…

NPR Hypes 'Cranky News Consumer' Obama's Critique of the Media

March 30th, 2016 5:34 PM
NPR's Scott Horsley acted as a stenographer for President Obama on Tuesday's Morning Edition, as he reported on the Democrat's Monday slam of the news media. Horsley played up how the President "spoke as a politician who's been on the receiving end of tough questions; but also as a somewhat cranky news consumer who thinks too many reporters are falling down on the job." The correspondent also…

Jake Tapper Unloads on Obama: You’re in No Position to Lecture

March 30th, 2016 9:29 AM
An irritated Jake Tapper on Tuesday unloaded on Barack Obama, attacking the President for “lecturing” journalists about how to do their job. Highlighting a speech from Monday, in which the Democrat called for reporters to “dig” and “demand more,” Tapper quipped, “His message was a good one. But was President Obama the right messenger?”

Time and the Left Trot Out 75 Year-Old Excuses For the Poor Economy

March 29th, 2016 11:58 PM
It's so predictable. Whenever a government or leader follows the left's playbook and the results "uexpectedly" don't turn out to be anywhere near what was desired, it isn't the policies' or the leader's fault. No-no-no. During the Mayor David Dinkins era in New York City, it was because Gotham had become ungovernable by any human being – until Rudy Giuliani took over. During the Carter Era, the…

March 29th, 2016 11:15 PM

Softball Interviewer Scarborough Chides Obama for Softball Interviews

March 29th, 2016 4:31 PM
It was the pot calling the kettle black on Morning Joe Tuesday. Joe Scarborough was up in arms over President Obama’s criticism of the media for not reporting the way he would like. Scarborough called Obama out for opting for more friendly news outlets that provided the “easiest questions and he would be speaking to his audience directly.” But the fact is Morning Joe had their own softball…

Networks Push Obama’s ‘Lengthy Indictment’ of ‘Ugly’ Primaries

March 29th, 2016 1:02 PM
All three network morning shows on Tuesday hyped Barack Obama’s “lengthy indictment” of 2016's “ugly” primaries. The President, who has lashed out at Ted Cruz in the past, gave a speech on Monday where he lectured, “The number one question I am getting as I travel around the world is what is happening in America?” CBS This Morning’s Major Garrett trumpeted, “President Obama delivered a lengthy…

Atlantic's Goldberg: 'I'm Not Flacking for Obama, But'

March 29th, 2016 8:55 AM
Methinks the Goldberg doth protest too much . . . Twice during his appearance on today's Morning Joe, The Atlantic's Jeffrey Goldberg claimed that he wasn't there to "flack" for President Obama on foreign policy . . . but then proceeded to do just that. The Atlantic recently published a long piece by Goldberg on Obama's foreign policy, based on the author's interviews of the president and some…

Must Terrorism Be the New Normal?

March 28th, 2016 9:55 PM
Are the increasing incidents of terrorist attacks in Europe the "new normal"? Must Europeans and Americans become resigned to the inevitability of regular jihadist assaults? Must we endure more meaningless bromides about not "overreacting" because we might offend the world's 1.6 billion Muslims, playing into the hands of terrorists who promote the notion that the "Christian" West is at war with…

Blogger: Conservatives Clueless About Obama’s ‘What Works’ Comment

March 27th, 2016 2:20 PM
Conservatives have objected in droves to a remark President Obama made this past week during his visit to Argentina. Addressing a gathering of young adults, Obama said, “In the past there’s been a sharp division…between capitalist and communist or socialist…but I think for your generation, you should be practical and just choose from what works.” The right’s hostile response, contended The…

Press Ignores Obama's False-Equivalence: Some Communist Ideas 'Work'

March 26th, 2016 10:53 AM
As noted in my previous post, the press is determined that the world not learn of profound statements made by world leaders it despises. The specific reference was to Israeli Prime Mininster Benjamin Netanyahu's five-word admonishment to those who believe that some accommodation can be reached with Islamic terrorists: "Terrorists Have No Resolvable Grievances." Meanwhile, the press protects…
