NEW NewsBusters Podcast: Democrats and Media Going Soft on Crime

Whether it's in Washington, DC or Atlanta, the media struggle with upsetting the far left on crime and policing. Reporters relayed the anger at President Biden for agreeing with Republicans that the DC City Council revision of the criminal code was unacceptable. NPR's Mara Liasson clucked that Biden picked "politics over principle," that somehow it was "politics" to stick up for crime victims instead of perpetrators.

The allegedly anti-rioter liberal media struggles with Antifa hotheads throwing Molotov cocktails at an Atlanta police training facility. CBS on Monday morning could only devote six seconds to this unrest. ABC and NBC each covered the story, but neither could call the radical leftist protesters...."radical left." They were either "protesters" or "environmentalists."

This is just like Biden's decision upset what they called "criminal reform advocates." Graham's Law of Media Labeling is this: The epic political battles of our time are fought between the ultraconservatives and the nonpartisans.

At the White House briefing, several reporters came at press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre from Biden's left, expressing that Biden was interfering in the District's self-governance.
