After trashing President Trump’s State of the Union address moments after it ended Tuesday night, on Wednesday morning, Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd was back at it on the Today show, fearing the speech “set things back” and “really offended a lot of Democrats,” which apparently included him.

If only President Trump would stop responding to allegations that he colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election, the liberal media would stop covering the topic. That was the assertion made by NBC’s Today show co-host Savannah Guthrie during an interview with White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Tuesday’s morning show.

On Monday, all three network morning shows read from the same script as they tried to preempt President Trump’s State of the Union address with dour coverage of “controversies looming” over the speech and the President’s “record-low approval rating.” The broadcasts also touted how “deeply divided” the nation was on the eve of Trump’s remarks.  

With President Trump set to address the nation during the State of the Union on Tuesday, the White House billed the theme of speech as “building a safe, strong, and proud America.” But during some of the network morning shows on Sunday, journalists appeared eager to get past the address and forget about it, maybe even as soon as “Wednesday afternoon,” as one guessed.

Following the White House’s newly-released proposal for an immigration deal, on Friday, all three network morning shows dismissed conservative critics of the plan as “hardliners.” Despite also touting harsh rhetoric from Democrats who “blasted the proposal,” the same reporters refused to hurl any similar negative labels at the liberal lawmakers.

The liberal ladies of ABC’s The View were quick to choose sides in the feud between controversial actress Jane Fonda and former Fox News host Megyn Kelly on the January 23 episode of their show. After Kelly attacked Fonda as someone who had no moral authority to lecture others on what was “offensive,” after her history of anti-American activism in Vietnam, the View hosts gasped at Kelly’s nerve…

Even though CBS and NBC had just started to cover revelations that five months worth of text messages from anti-Trump FBI officials had gone missing, on Wednesday morning, correspondents on both networks were already trying to dismiss the story as a “partisan” GOP effort to “undermine” Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation. Meanwhile, ABC continued to remain silent on the news.

After Democrats shut down the government on Friday over their demand to protect illegal immigrants from deportation, all three broadcast networks spent the weekend reaching back to 2013 to accuse Donald Trump of changing his mind on the legislative tactic. At the same time, NBC, ABC and CBS completely ignored the stunning hypocrisy of Democratic leader Chuck Schumer.

With the country potentially only hours away from Democrats shutting down the government over their demand for illegal immigrants to be protected from deportation, on Friday’s NBC Today, MSNBC anchor Nicolle Wallace argued that Republicans would receive “a disproportionate amount of blame.”
