After ABC’s revival of Roseanne received huge ratings Tuesday night, on Thursday, NBC’s Today show and ABC’s Good Morning America suddenly discovered the value of shows set in red states with pro-Trump characters. 

After news broke Wednesday afternoon that President Trump would be replacing Veteran Affairs Secretary David Shulkin with White House Physician Ronny Jackson, Tuesday’s network morning shows proceeded to dismiss the Navy Rear Admiral as unqualified for the job. The coverage even seemed to criticize Jackson for accurately describing the President’s health during a press conference in January.

Moms no longer need to turn around the cover of Cosmopolitan as they check out at Walmart with their kids. The magazine with its signature cover filled with sex tips and shocking headlines has been removed.

Despite devoting two full segments, totaling over 11 minutes, to an interview with former Hillary Clinton Communications Director Jennifer Palmieri, on her Monday 9:00 a.m. ET hour show, NBC anchor Megyn Kelly failed to ask about the losing Democratic nominee’s recent bitter tirade against voters who did not support her in 2016.  

All three networks on Monday adopted an impatient, irritated tone with Stormy Daniel’s lawyer Michael Avenatti. Good Morning America, CBS This Morning and Today hosts complained that the porn star’s 60 Minutes interview had been a boring “tease.” Despite the disappointment, these same networks still devoted a hefty 61 minutes of combined coverage to the Stormy Daniels story on Monday.

Don’t expect any balance or objectivity in how the media will cover Saturday’s March for Our Lives rally. What is actually a call for massive gun control was portrayed by NBC’s Today show on Friday as a “protest voice” to “teach the grown-ups a lesson.” 

Friday’s network morning shows were horrified to report that President Trump had decided to replace General H.R. McMaster as National Security Adviser with former United Nations Ambassador John Bolton. Journalists on the NBC, ABC, and CBS broadcasts feared that the “controversial” pick would only add to Trump’s “very hardline” national security team. 

On Wednesday, all three network morning shows touted criticism of President Trump’s Tuesday phone call with Russian President Vladimir in which Trump congratulated Putin on his recent re-election victory – results widely considered to be illegitimate. However, only NBC’s Today show briefly mentioned that President Obama did the same thing in 2012.

In a fawning, nearly three-minute long report on NBC’s Today show, correspondent Sheinelle Jones touted Sex and the City actress and “progressive activist” Cynthia Nixon announcing her candidacy for New York governor, providing a primary challenge to incumbent Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Teenage students lobbying for strict new gun control laws appeared on all three networks on Monday and were hailed as “superheroes” and “voices of a generation.” In total, ABC, CBS and NBC devoted 19 minutes and 14 seconds to various young adults from the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting. None of the networks asked these teens any tough questions about exactly how many guns they want to take…

On Monday, the network morning shows collectively wrung their hands over the firing of FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, with NBC’s Today and ABC’s Good Morning America completely ignoring the fact that Bureau’s own Office of Professional Responsibility recommended the dismissal. CBS This Morning included that information in its coverage, but still blasted the decision as “vindictive.”
