Tuesday’s Morning Joe featured a segment lambasting the Tennessee legislature for – not being Democrats. The bizarre hit job covered The Atlantic writer Anne Applebaum’s piece asserting that the State of Tennessee could not be classified as a democracy, but instead was a fascist dictatorship. The reason for this? Well, because voters elected a Republican supermajority.

On Thursday morning CNN gave two Democrat state legislators from Tennessee a forum to accuse their state's Republican party of "white supremacy" as the show previewed upcoming special elections for the two members who are trying to reclaim their seats for the rest of the current term.

Washington Free Beacon media reporter Drew Holden flagged a story on "far-right" Republicans in Tennessee from the Associated Press. This has become a real trend of late, from Tennessee to Montana to Texas. But when San Francisco spends taxpayer money on a "Drag Laureate," no one at AP finds that needs an ideological label. 

On Tuesday's Amanpour & Co. show, PBS host Christiane Amanpour used her taxpayer-funded program to promote phony claims that Tennessee Republicans were racially motivated because they expelled two black Democrats from the state legislature while failing to expel a white Democrat.

On Tuesday's CNN This Morning, the show used the recent expulsion of two Democrat state legislators in Tennessee as an opportunity to promote the discredited liberal trope that Republicans are only able to solidly control some states because of gerrymandering, which then allegedly leads them to enact extreme agendas against the will of voters who are unable to vote them out.
