On Sunday during MSNBC’s special coverage of President Biden’s withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race, Joy Reid presented new campaign oriented marching orders for fellow and co-host Nicolle Wallace wished that Biden’s “political sacrifice” would persuade others to step up and support Harris.

Corporate TV journalists are so thrilled with President Biden’s decision to step aside that they’ve begun comparing his “selfless” act to George Washington’s choice not to seek re-election in 1796.

Once Joe Biden knuckled under to tremendous pressure to drop out of the race, Biden's advisers went out to proclaim he was like...George Washington? That was former Newsweek editor, "historian" and Biden speechwriter Jon Meacham on Monday's Morning Joe.

On Morning Joe, lamenting Biden's departure from the race, Mika Brzezinski three times extols his "touch." For millions of Americans, a mention of Biden's "touch" brings to mind unsettling images.  Joe Scarborough speaks of the Democratic establishment having repeatedly "shit" on Biden.

On Saturday's edition of MSNBC's The Weekend, co-host Symone Sanders-Townsend repeatedly called the 35 congressional Democrats who have publicly called upon Biden to step aside "despicable" and "treacherous." MSNBC can’t stop, won’t stop attacking the concept of masculinity. These attacks are renewed yet again in the wake of President Joe Biden’s decision not to seek reelection.

President Joe Biden’s late decision not to seek reelection has scrambled both the media’s Sunday plans and collective brains. In the wake of the expected but nonetheless surprising news, the galaxy-brain takes are flying.

For four years, Joy Reid has been the most insanely inflammatory hosts on a network chock full of inflammatory hosts. Culling through her quotes, there’s no shortage of extremist and hateful rhetoric, much of which is complete nonsense.

It's a sign of how well things are going for Donald Trump that instead of going after the man they most love to hate, Wedneday's Morning Joe spent most of the opening segment attacking the woman who endorsed him last night: Nikki Haley. The show opened with a clip of Stephen Colbert imagining Haley saying that she hates herself for endorsing Trump.  

Early Friday, the MSNBC hosts of The Weekend disrespected the was firefighter Corey Comperatore who lost his life in a shooting at Donald Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania. Democrat Symone Sanders described that the tribute to Comperatore at the RNC was a “prop” that “sickened” her.

There were plenty of outrageous hot takes from MSNBC during the Republican National Convention, but Rachel Maddow might have had the dumbest. On Tuesday, Maddow saw alt-right and possibly Aryan messaging in VP-nominee JD Vance’s Lord of the Rings-inspired venture capital firm.

It’s a challenging task but we here at NewsBusters are going to try to sift through all the crazy, angry and ridiculous observations made by leftist journalists every night of the Republican National Convention coverage and pick one for Worst of the Night.

When viewing MSNBC’s coverage of the Republican National Convention, one is led to wonder why leadership would sideline Morning Joe, albeit briefly, but not the insane asylum airing on prime-time. “Historian” Michael Beschloss’s assessment of President Trump’s acceptance speech only serves to intensify that wonderment.
