Reacting to former Colorado Governor and 2020 presidential candidate John Hickenlooper repeatedly refusing to call himself a “capitalist” during an interview minutes earlier Friday morning, the cast of MSNBC’s Morning Joe expressed their shock and dismay at the “crisis in the Democratic Party” as far-left candidates preach socialism. 

On Morning Joe, Donny Deutsch says that the judge who sentenced Paul Manafort seemed to have a "hard-on" against the Mueller probe. Deutsch also wonders out loud whether Trump got a message to the sentencing judge to go easy on Manafort. 

On the Thursday edition of Morning Joe, Daily Beast editor Sam Stein took the bulk of his time to go after President Trump's travel ban in a segment that was supposed to be about Rep. Ilhan Omar's anti-Semitic dual loyalty statements and the intra-party fight Democrats are having over how to respond.

The cast of MSNBC's Morning Joe like to view themselves as the defenders of truth and justice in an age when such ideals are supposedly under attack by President Trump. Any presidential hyperbole is condemned as a lie, while their own hyperbole is speaking truth to power.

MSNBC's Morning Joe's week of strange Churchillian analogies continued on Thursday when the morning show panel discussed President Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen's testimony to the House Oversight Committee.
