Pelosi falsely claims that "one in five children in America goes to sleep hungry at night." The true statistic is that about 1-in-100 children in America experiences hunger once a year. On any given night, about one in 1,000 children go to sleep hungry.

Freshman Democratic Rep. from Minnesota Ilhan Omar has gotten herself into trouble again and members of the media are rushing to her defense and condemning Republicans for their reaction to her comments.

"In the wake of Pete Buttigieg's announcement speech of yesterday, Morning Joe is filled with praise of him, calling him a "hero," with "echoes of the Kennedys." The panel also criticizes the candidacy of Hillary Clinton, and Mika Brzezinski suggests that the notion that Beto O'Rourke is the Kennedyesque candidate is "contrived" whereas Buttigieg feels "much more natural" and real. 

MSNBC Morning Joe co-host Joe Scarborough would like viewers to know that he is not a fan of Attorney General William Barr. On Thursday's show, Scarborough launched into Barr for telling a Senate subcommittee that, "I think spying did occur" against the Trump campaign and he was going to look into it to make sure there was nothing nefarious going on.

Reacting to Rep. Ilhan Omar's description of 9/11 as "some people did some things," Joe Scarborough, on Morning Joe, says, that it's "so important for her to succeed." He and Mika Brzezinski express the wish that instead of tweeting criticism of her statement, Republican congressman Dan Crenshaw had spoken with Omar personally.
