Jimmy Kimmel may be away from his ABC show for the summer, but he still managed to appear on Larry David’s HBO show Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness on Friday, where he tried to further the narrative that his September suspension was because President Trump can’t take a joke despite his suspension having nothing to do with Trump.

HBO’s John Oliver lamented on Sunday’s Last Week Tonight that Republicans in southern states are getting in on the redistricting battle that is taking place across the whole country. According to him, Republican efforts are on track to bring the country “back to the Jim Crow era.”
