Today we present the WORST OF 2022: The GOP Will End Democracy Award.

Tomorrow is Christmas Day, one of the most joyous on the Christian calendar. But over the years, assorted Scrooges in the media use the holiday as an occasion to badmouth Christmas or Christianity itself, or to lamely use Christmas as a left-wing political talking point.

CNN senior media reporter Oliver Darcy acted like a flunky for the FBI, throwing a conniption over Twitter owner Elon Musk’s revelations that the bureau paid the platform millions to “censor”  Americans.

In between obligatory hourly segments about Trump and the weather, CNN hosts spent Friday morning  engaging in outright open-borders activism. The network aired multiple reports emphasizing the plight of illegal aliens, all of which started from the premise that anyone attempting to enter ought to be allowed in.

The networks are urging everyone on board with the latest $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill, and no one needs to read its 4,155 pages. Just vote yes. When Democrats pass bills or push criminal indictments of Trump, it's "historic."

On Tuesday's CNN This Morning, co-host Don Lemon declared that President Donald Trump "wasted time" building a border wall as he discussed the border crisis with former Trump administration Defense Secretary Mark Esper.

On Tuesday, nearly 24 hours after claiming “there’s nothing fake about CNN,” CNN This Morning co-host Don Lemon laughably asserted, without evidence, that “all evidence points” to “the facts” that the Department of Justice (DOJ) is not political, and has only ever been political during the Trump administration.

CNN boss Chris Licht drew a big James Stewart profile on the front of the Sunday Business section of The New York Times. Licht's public chatter about making CNN less partisan and screamy is drawing bad reviews from partisan and screamy leftists. This went unsaid: CNN hasn't really changed at all. 

CNN Newsroom host Jim Acosta returned to his old form on Saturday of hyperbolically warning about threats to press freedom as he compared the Twitter suspension of several journalists to the Trump White House revoking his press credentials. He also managed to compare tracking Elon Musk’s jet to reporting when senators arrive on the Senate floor or athletes who arrive at a stadium.

Theree was not a peep of outrage from left-wing journalists when Donald Trump's Twitter account was banned, but suddenly they're all outraged when the people being disconnected are left-wing journalists.
