Jonah Goldberg: Protecting the Protesters vs. Trashing the Tea Party

Nearly four years ago, the media establishment swiftly and baselessly linked the Tea Party to the shooting of Arizona Congresswoman Gabby Giffords. But after this weekend’s murder of two New York City police officers, by a gunman who used the hashtag #ShootThePolice, there was no rush at ABC, CBS or NBC to condemn anti-police protesters who have employed the chant: “What do we want? Dead cops.…

A Feminist’s Christmas Tale: God Raped Mary

Salon and Alternet seem to exist only to provide click-bait for kooks. Alternet certainly succeeded with their Sunday article entitled, “Why rape is so intrinsic to religion” which was also cross-posted on partner site Salon.  In the article by Valerie Tarico, she tries to argue that the virgin birth of Jesus Christ was God raping Mary, similar to Greek and Hindu tales of gods raping women. “It’s…

Producers of ‘Citizenfour' Movie Are Being Sued Over Snowden Leaks

Eriq Gardner at The Hollywood Reporter is noting that while the Obama administration isn’t messing with “Citizenfour,” a documentary on Edward Snowden’s allegedly heroic leaking of government secrets, a private citizen has filed a lawsuit against “unjust enrichment” from damaging national security. Unlike the recent Sony fracas, the suit doesn’t seek to stop the film, just inhibit its profits. "…

Vox Falsely Claims Sunday Was Longest Night in Earth's History

Amazon founder and current Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos must be quite relieved that he passed on investing millions in Ezra Klein's pet project. Klein, the infamous founder and coordinator of the left-driven news-managing and manipulation effort known as JournoList, wanted the Post to invest $10 million in what the New York Times described early this year as "a new website dedicated to…

Bill Kristol Slams Howard Dean for Insisting GOP Has to Help Obama

Seven weeks since their seismic losses in the midterm elections, liberals continue mouthing their moronic mantra that the results were a mandate for Republicans to "get things done" with President Obama. On This Week with George Stephanopoulos today, uber-Dem Howard Dean trotted out a variation of the threadbare theme, that Republicans better work with Obama or face dire consequences in the…

WashPost Coos on Colbert: 'Consummate Showman' Made 'Zeitgeist Gold'

Washington Post TV writer Hank Stuever didn’t refrain from the goo over the end of Stephen Colbert’s tenure at Comedy Central. His "Critic's Notebook" might have been too soaked with tears to be legible, but it made it into print. The Thursday headline was “The Colbert rapport: How he built a Nation.” The subhead was “Comedy Central’s consummate showman turned a one-man spoof into a nine-year…

'This Week' Uncovers Really Bad Spelling of Anti-Castro Protesters

It would have been more honest had ABC News simply stated its opinion that those opposed to the communist regime in Cuba are unreconstructed ignoramuses, but that would be asking a bit much. Instead, a photo was shown on "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" this morning that said as much without coming out and saying it.

Bill Richardson Takes Wrong Cheap Shot at Jeb Bush Spanish Fluency

Former New Mexico governor and member of the Clinton cabinet, Bill Richardson, took a cheap shot at Jeb Bush on Meet The Press today. To make matters worse, his slam against Bush for poor Spanish language ability was completely wrong as we can see in a video interview with him in that idiom.
