Nets Ignore Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Calling Vaccinations a 'Holocaust'

Remember when the networks were hyping the fact that Rand Paul and Chris Cristie were sympathetic towards parents skeptical about vaccines for their children in February while ignoring similar statements in the past by Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama? Well, a well known figure from a prominent Democrat political family has gone off the deep end as far as paranoia about vaccines yet silence from the major networks except for Fox News. The person in question is Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. who went so far as to condemn vaccines as being a "holocaust" as the California legislature takes up the matter of whether to ban vaccine exemptions.

Although there has been coverage of Kennedy's over the top condemnation of vaccines in newspapers, nothing yet on this from the major networks. The closest was ABC News which carried an Associated Press story of Kennedy's kooky comments on its website. Here is the Sacramento Bee report on Kennedy's bizarre vaccine claim:

With lawmakers preparing to vote on a bill blocking parents from skipping vaccinations for their children, prominent vaccine skeptic Robert F. Kennedy Jr. arrived at the Sacramento screening of a film linking autism to the vaccine preservative thimerosal and warned that public health officials cannot be trusted.

“They can put anything they want in that vaccine and they have no accountability for it,” said Kennedy, who walked onto and left a Crest Theater stage to standing ovations, of the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

...“They get the shot, that night they have a fever of a hundred and three, they go to sleep, and three months later their brain is gone,” Kennedy said. “This is a holocaust, what this is doing to our country.”

Exit question: When will NBC News correspondent Maria Shriver ask her cousin about his bizarre vaccine "holocaust" claim?
