Stossel Column: Better Than Charity

Many of us will give money to charity this month. Americans give more than any other people in the world. Good for us. 56 years ago, because American charities hadn't ended poverty, politicians said they would end it. They declared a "war on poverty." That "war," so far, has cost $27 trillion. Some people were helped. But the handouts also had a bad effect.

Lefties Mad at Obama For Throwing Cold Water on ‘Defund the Police’

Come on, guys. Everyone knows that beyond instigating a violent insurrection and anarchy against law enforcement, “defund the police” isn’t really a viable campaign policy. Even Barry Obama knows this. In a recent interview, the former president decried the slogan and the radical leftists at Jezebel blasted him for his lack of commitment to their most radical policy dreams.

Prepare for Purges: Twitter Expands ‘Hateful Conduct’ Policy

Twitter Safety is rolling out new dystopian policies to regulate the speech of its users. Big Tech wants Americans to exchange their freedoms for false guarantees of “safety.” “Today, we’re expanding our hateful conduct policy to address language that dehumanizes people on the basis of race, ethnicity, or national origin,” the official Twitter Safety account declared in a Dec. 2 thread.

'View' Fights Over Obama's Advice to Drop 'Defund' the Police

President Obama is taking heat from the progressive wing of his party for saying in a Tuesday interview that younger progressives need to drop terms like “defund the police” to get their agenda accomplished. This mild constructive criticism also drew the ire of far-left The View co-host Sunny Hostin, who bitterly battled her liberal co-hosts for agreeing with Obama’s assessment.

Facebook Supreme Court Opens Public Comment Period for First Cases

Facebook’s new censorship process has taken off, and the platform’s Oversight Board has released the first six cases it plans to review. The Facebook Oversight Board (The Board) does have a period for public comment for the posts under review, but it does not make the actual posts or appeals publicly available. What ‘We Needed This Year’: An LGBTQ+ Musical Film

The new film The Prom is, according to Indiewire.com, “every teenage girl’s dream: The high school PTA has just announced they’d rather cancel prom than let you bring your girlfriend, when a gaggle of garishly dressed Broadway stars you’ve never heard of storms in singing, ‘We are gonna help that little lesbian…’” This sounds like a woke fantasy more than anything else.

The Twitter Mob Berates Katy Perry for Supporting Her Patriotic Dad

Unity. It’s the word that comes to mind when leftwing nutcases won’t even allow a famous pop star to support her own father’s business on social media because he loves America. Last Friday, Firework singer and celeb Democrat activist Katy Perry promoted her father’s non-partisan, pro-American T-shirts on Twitter and apparently that was still way too fascist for these keyboard jockeys…

Black Education Tragedy Is New

Several years ago, Project Baltimore began an investigation of Baltimore's school system. What they found was an utter disgrace. In 19 of Baltimore's 39 high schools, out of 3,804 students, only 14 of them, or less than 1%, were proficient in math. In 13 of Baltimore's high schools, not a single student scored proficient in math. In five Baltimore City high schools, not a single student scored…

Sports Media Going Nuts Over Vanderbilt’s Female Place-Kicker

Sports writers aren’t demanding a female Vanderbilt University place-kicker be awarded the Heisman Trophy – not yet anyway – but they can hardly contain themselves over Sarah Fuller’s farcical appearance Saturday in a Southeastern Conference football game.

CBS Goes Full Climate Propaganda: Why Are Humans ‘at War With Nature?’

CBS This Morning partnered with a far-left propaganda outfit to push climate activism and a return to United Nations efforts to attack the oil and gas industry. Co-host Tony Dokoupil fully adopted the agenda as he compared the world to a suicidal person about to jump off a ledge. While interviewed United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres, he parroted alarmist talking points…

On today's New Day, CNN legal analyst Elie Honig suggested that President Trump might be making a deal with Giuliani to grant him a pardon in return for Rudy's silence on Trump's ostensible misdeeds. Honig, of course, offered no evidence in support of his slander.
