Tax Freedom Day Gets Later, But Media Ignore It

With the federal tax deadline moved to April 18 this year, people have an extra three days to procrastinate on their 2015 returns. Even with this extension, Americans will still have to work on average another six days before reaching Tax Freedom Day -- the day they’ve earned what the government will take from them during 2016. But the evening news shows have refused to talk about it.

ABC Skips Own Poll Showing Unpopular Hillary, Hypes Dislike of Cruz

The journalists on Good Morning America, Thursday, eagerly touted a new poll finding that “most the country doesn’t like” Ted Cruz and Donald Trump. What did they ignore from their own survey? A majority of Americans aren't fond of Hillary Clinton either. Reporter Jon Karl trumpeted, “This poll looks at the Republican candidates and shows that the most of the country simply doesn't like them.”

On Charlie Rose Wednesday night on PBS, guest host (and CBS anchor) Jeff Glor interviewed journalist Jacob Weisberg, who is Editor-in-Chief and contributor to the Slate Group, (which publishes Slate Magazine), on his new book about Ronald Reagan. At mid-interview, Glor asked Weisberg what Ronald Reagan would think about the current GOP party, giving the liberal journalist plenty of time to bash…

Scarborough: Cruz 'Even Worse Than Trump' for GOP Senate Candidates

The Coming Cruz Senate Apocalypse? That's Joe Scarborough's baleful prophesy, should the senator from Texas snatch the Republican presidential nomination.  On today's Morning Joe, Scarborough asserted that "Ted Cruz is the worst-case scenario for [GOP] Senate candidates, even worse than Donald Trump." So bad, in fact, that Joe agreed with Mike Barnicle that Cruz as nominee = Chuck Schumer as…

Latest Feminist Trend: The 'Privilege' of Having Herpes

It’s Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) Awareness Month, and what better way to promote awareness than... being loud and proud by sharing “I have an STI” with the public? This liberal trend hasn’t hit the media just yet. Silly me for thinking STI Awareness Month (I wasn’t aware there was such a thing) would have something to do with the education of STI’s and prevention. Instead, we have…

ABC’s ‘Modern Family’: Christians Are Violent and ‘Judgie’

Okay this was actually funny. On Wednesday night’s edition of Modern Family, titled ‘Man Shouldn’t Lie,’ Cam (Eric Stonestreet) and Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) resort to unorthodox measures to generate income, by renting out their upstairs room to a rock band. A Christian rock band.

Imagine That: ABC/ESPN Blog Demonstrates Chicago 'Ferguson Effect'

Two writers at the Five Thirty-Eight blog, purchased by ABC's ESPN network two years ago, have done something the crime increase causation deniers will surely detest: demonstrate, based on statistical evidence, and despite their tentative language, that "real changes in the process of policing in Chicago" have led to "spike in gun violence in Chicago since the end of November." Translating the…

Bababooey! Howard Stern Schools His Producer on 2nd Amendment

Bababooey! Once again the producer of the Howard Stern radio show, Gary Dell'Abate, gets schooled on something. This time Howard sets Gary straight on what the 2nd Amendment really means. Gary doesn't sound so much antithetical to the 2nd Amendment as completely confused. By the time Howard is done, Gary still sounds confused but at least the audience gets a bunch of good laughs listening to…

MSNBC’s Hardball host Chris Matthews almost never passes up the chance to bash Ted Cruz as a modern day Joe McCarthy and Wednesday night was no different as he flaunted the comparison while New York Daily News columnist Linda Stasi complained that Cruz’s allegations about mob ties to Donald Trump were “racist and disgusting.”
