ABC News's political director Rick Klein appeared briefly on The View Thursday to talk about the controversies surrounding freshman Democrats and to tout the Green New Deal proposed by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. While co-host Abby Huntsman expressed concern that Democrats were veering too far left, Klein and fellow co-host Joy Behar shut her down, claiming that most Americans supported Democrats’ radical and infeasible policy proposals.
Tuesday on The View, the hosts interviewed potential 2020 independent candidate and former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz. Despite Schultz’s liberal politics, the notion that he could be more moderate than Democrats running and thus steal votes away from Dems has driven the media to hysterics, including the women at The View.
Tuesday, The View finally addressed the encounter between Covington Catholic High School students and a Native American veteran, Nathan Phillips, at the Lincoln Memorial at the March for Life last Friday. After the media smeared the kids as racists based off of unfounded accusations, they suddenly found longer videos posted which contradicted that narrative. The View’s Sunny Hostin, however, still put the blame on the Convington kids and their parent chaperones, instead of the media or Phillips, for lying about them.
View co-host Sunny Hostin once again showed just how blindly partisan she is on Tuesday’s show, arguing that anyone who agrees with Trump’s border wall is a racist bigot against “brown people.”
ABC’s Senior White House correspondent Jonathan Karl appeared on The View Monday to briefly discuss the two reports out in the Washington Post and New York Times which the media is seizing on as their new “evidence” that President Trump colluded with Russia in the 2016 election. However the reports fall short of that and even Jon Karl had to admit that there was “zero evidence” of that to the hosts, much to their chagrin.
View co-host Meghan McCain held her liberal guest’s feet to the fire after the latter repeatedly dodged then flat-out refused to condemn vile, anti-Semitic remarks made by her friend, Louis Farrakhan. Tamika D. Mallory appeared on the show Monday with co-chair of the march, Bob Bland, to address that controversy as well as the claims by pro-life women that they were excluded from the march.
On Wednesday’s show, the hosts of The View predictably were angry at President Trump’s address Tuesday night about the border, and opened the show by ranting about it. Co-hosts Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin also combatted Meghan McCain over the policy separating illegal alien children at the border, calling that the real humanitarian crisis.
Democrat Senator Kamala Harris made the rounds on ABC Tuesday promoting her new memoir and aiding the media in bashing President Trump for addressing the nation tonight about the need for a southern border wall. Though she did not make a formal announcement if she was going to run for president in 2020, the liberal hosts at The View treated her as if she were already a candidate, comparing her to Hillary Clinton and pleading with her to stop President Trump.
Monday, the hosts of the View finally got around to discussing Democrat Senator Elizabeth Warren’s cringeworthy video from last week, where she awkwardly opened a beer while announcing her 2020 bid for president. While many on the right mocked the apparent shameless pandering, View co-host Sunny Hostin actually defended it as “authentic” on Monday’s show.
During Thursday’s edition of The View, the panel reacted to a clip of Wednesday’s Tucker Carlson Tonight, where the eponymous host pointed to studies showing that “when men make less money than women, women generally don’t want to marry them.” As a whole, the panel seemed dismissive of his argument, saying his arguments came from “loony town” and seamed “real nutty.”
The past two years we’ve broken down the worst moments of each year on ABC’s The View. Even with the addition of Meghan McCain late last year, 2018 has proved yet again that the hosts have no tolerance for conservative viewpoints. Whether it was sneering at religion or Trump voters, defending their own double standards or making nutty apocalyptic predictions, the liberal hosts continued to remind us why there is only one acceptable leftist “view” on the ABC show. Read below to see some of the worst incidents from 2018 and watch the video below.
This week, NewsBusters is recounting the most obnoxious liberal bias of 2018. Today, it’s a look at the media’s Trump Derangement Syndrome as we present the most over-the-top attacks on President Donald Trump. When he wasn’t being compared to tyrants like Benito Mussolini, he was being branded a traitor who sold out America to Vladimir Putin. And of course he was repeatedly tarred as a hateful racist.
