Unfocused rage filled the hosts of The View Wednesday, as they accused President Trump of everything from “squelching” patriotic “dissent” from Ilhan Omar, to being a part of Jeffrey Epstein’s child rape scheme, to killing the planet with insecticides. After playing the press conference yesterday where freshman Democrat representatives Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ayanna Pressley sounded off on Trump, even calling for his impeachment over tweets, co-host Sunny Hostin gushed her approval.
Monday the hosts of The View breathed a sigh of relief after the proposed ICE raids from President Trump over the weekend, were not as widespread as the media had hyped. Still, the hosts agreed that the raids were racist and cruel. Co-host Sunny Hostin even claimed that the President was “terrorizing citizens.”
Another Democrat running in the 2020 election for President, Andrew Yang, was a guest on ABC’s The View Monday. As per usual, co-host Sunny Hostin only wanted to know how far left the Democrat, was willing to go, pressing him on issues like universal healthcare and reparations. Strangely enough, co-host Joy Behar was skeptical about Yang’s “monthly dividend” plan, saying it wasn’t a long-term solution, while her liberal co-hosts were all on board with it.
Former Republican Governor of New Jersey and ABC News contributor Chris Christie appeared on The View Friday to analyze last night’s Democratic debate. However, the liberal hosts were more interested in attacking him for working for the Trump administration. The segment ended in a total meltdown from each of the hosts, ranting and raving over how awful the president is.
Democrat 2020 candidate and former Obama cabinet member Julián Castro came on ABC’s The View Thursday following last night’s Democratic debate, to receive softballs and high praise from the liberal hosts. While Meghan McCain pressed him on his support for open borders, co-hosts Sunny Hostin and Joy Behar lavished praise on his performance and didn’t critique any of his far-left policies.
Co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar are no strangers to hyperbole and dramatics on The View. After Behar said Trump was on his way to exterminating illegal immigrants last week, Whoopi claimed that Trump was on his way to criminalizing and exterminating gay people on Wednesday’s show.
When you are suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome it’s hard to remember some basic facts. Co-host of The View, Joy Behar, forgot that Norway is on another continent on Tuesday’s show, when she asked if kids from “Norway” would be treated the same at border facilities.
The hosts of The View saved time to bash White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders on Monday’s show, after she announced last week that she would be leaving her post at the end of the month. Whoopi and Joy Behar reveled in the news, mocking her while Sunny Hostin took a more dramatic tone, blasting Sanders as a liar who had forever tainted the position.
Former Maryland Congressman John Delaney was on The View Thursday, joining the crowd of Democrat presidential candidates who have come on the show. Despite espousing many typical liberal, big government policies, he framed himself as a centrist Democrat, noting areas where his party was being extreme, fiscally. While Sunny Hostin pressed the Democrat from the left at every turn, even Joy Behar admitted she wasn’t for one of the party’s more radical bills.
The hosts at The View blasted President Trump Wednesday, for calling Democrat candidate Joe Biden “slow” and claiming he didn’t have the fortitude to make it on the campaign trail. That led to an entire segment of the hosts ragging on Trump for spreading "health conspiracy theories," which is too rich, coming from the same people who spread their own health conspiracy theories about Trump all the time.
The hosts were divided on The View Tuesday over Democrats dragging out John Dean to testify over the Mueller report Monday, where he compared President Trump to Richard Nixon. The stunt was praised by View hosts Sunny Hostin and fill-in host Deborah Roberts as historically necessary, but Meghan McCain called out the disgraced, former White House counsel for his partisanship and history of hackery.
The hosts of ABC’s The View struggled on Monday’s show, between praising Joe Biden for flip-flopping on the Hyde Amendment last week, to expressing frustration that he wasn’t with the radical left to begin with. After pressure from the left, the former Vice President and current 2020 candidate came out this past week to say he now was against the amendment, which bans federal funding for abortion, after being in favor of it for the past forty years. Meghan McCain was the only critic of Biden’s flip- flopping.
