The same network anchors and reporters that refused to cover New York’s radical late term abortion law back in January have (in just the last 15 days) flooded their evening and morning shows with over two-hours of hostile coverage of pro-life laws in Alabama, Georgia and Missouri.
During a report on Wednesday’s Today show promoting “protests from coast to coast” against pro-life legislation in various states, NBC reporter Stephanie Gosk fretted over such a measure being considered in Louisiana. She noted how “calls from patients have spiked” at a New Orleans abortion clinic and ironically asked a member of the clinic’s staff if a “violent act” had ever occurred at the facility.
The liberal media flocked to elevate the some 400-plus pro-abortion protests held Tuesday as they continued to rail against the wave of pro-life legislation designed to protect unborn life. ABC, CBS, NBC, and Spanish-language networks Telemundo and Univision took time out of their evening newscasts to praise the protesters plus the 2020 Democrats who attended. CBS was the lone network to cover the rallies ahead of the severe and dangerous storms sweeping the Midwest.
There were apparently still a few Democrats that refused to promote the barbaric act of abortion. During their Monday evening newscasts, ABC’s World News Tonight and NBC Nightly News seemed irritated that Democrats in the state of Louisiana were set to enact their own heartbeat law, effectively keeping up momentum for the pro-life legislation sweeping the country.
On Monday, all three network morning shows ran with the narrative that President Trump and other Republicans were fearing a “voter backlash” ahead of the 2020 election in the wake of “extreme” pro-life legislation being enacted by states across the country. At no point in any of the coverage did the NBC, ABC, or CBS journalists suggest that Democrats might look too extreme in their support for abortion.
A NewsBusters study out Thursday afternoon showed that the broadcast networks loved slapping the “extreme” label on Alabama’s pro-life law, and the same for the heartbeat bills being enacted around the country, while completely ignoring New York’s extreme abortion protections. Well, NBC Nightly News broke the drought later that evening by completely embracing New York’s barbarism.
Slapping defenders of unborn life with the “anti-abortion [rights]” label, the CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News were aghast that a newly signed Georgia law banned abortions after a baby’s heartbeat was detected. Decrying how the law “shreds” Roe v. Wade, both news outlets were fearful of the “conservative” Supreme Court upholding such laws.
So, just like macabre clockwork. With Thursday’s mass shooting at the Borderline Bar and Grill in Thousand Oaks, California, there were routine calls for more gun control from the liberal media machine. During their evening broadcasts, CBS and NBC tried to scare the wits out of their viewers by dubiously claiming that there had been 307 mass shooting this year alone, or almost one a day. But that was a lie.
During the 9:00 a.m. ET hour of NBC’s Today show on Thursday, correspondent Stephanie Gosk teed up a fawning interview she conducted with five Latina celebrities campaigning for Democrats and urging liberal voters to head to polls during Tuesday’s midterm elections. The reporter hailed the effort by the Hollywood “powerhouses” as they blasted President Trump.
Appearing on Megyn Kelly Today, NBC News Correspondent Stephanie Gosk accused Republican Senator Susan Collins of trying to have it “both ways” on the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court and dismissed her speech on the Senate floor announcing her support of the Judge as something “drummed up by some PR expert in a back room.”
On Tuesday, just one day after NBC conducted an exclusive interview with questionable Brett Kavanaugh accuser Julie Swetnick, a panel of journalists on Megyn Kelly Today proceeded to dismantle credibility of the Michael Avenatti client. They all agreed that Swetnick’s story had significant “inconsistencies.”
During Friday’s Today show, co-host Savannah Guthrie pointed out that the hearing with Christine Blasey Ford and Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh was “playing out in the context of the #MeToo movement” and asked: “...how are people, you know, folks out there watching what’s happening on Capitol Hill?” Instead of simply talking to “folks,” in the report that followed, correspondent Stephanie Gosk lined up a series of left-wing activists to condemn Kavanaugh.
