Mort Zuckerman Once Again Corrects Eleanor Clift's Stupidity

April 16th, 2012 12:16 AM
There are times when I'm truly sickened by the total lack of economic acumen possessed by today's so-called journalists. On PBS's McLaughlin Group this weekend, Newsweek's Eleanor Clift once again said something so totally ignorant that she had to be corrected by US News & World Report's Mort Zuckerman (video follows with transcript and commentary):

April 8th, 2012 3:48 PM
John McLaughlin on the PBS show bearing his name asked his guests this weekend, "Has America done more to spread peace and prosperity than any other power in human history, yes or no?" The conservatives on the panel - syndicated columnist Pat Buchanan and the Washington Examiner's Tim Carney - were quick to say "Yes" as their liberal colleagues - Newsweek's Eleanor Clift and the Chicago…

Eleanor Clift: Obama Gets Along With Britain's Conservative Prime Mini

March 18th, 2012 3:52 PM
There was a truly delicious moment on PBS's McLaughlin Group this weekend. After Newsweek's Eleanor Clift gushed over how well President Obama gets along with British Prime Minister David Cameron describing him as "not like the conservatives we have in this country," syndicated columnist Pat Buchanan marvelously responded, "He's a RINO!" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

March 11th, 2012 6:07 PM
Newsweek's Eleanor Clift and National Review's Rich Lowry got into quite a heated debate on PBS's McLaughlin Group this weekend. With the topic being President Obama's Middle East policy, after much back and forth, Lowry scolded, "If you’re honest about it, that is your bottom line. You are okay with [Iran] getting a nuclear weapon" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

John McLaughlin Asks 'Is the Press in Love With Obama?' Eleanor Clift

March 11th, 2012 5:05 PM
The host of PBS's McLaughlin Group asked his panelists this weekend, "Is the press in love with Obama?" Not surprisingly, all in attendance said "Yes" with the exception of Newsweek's Eleanor Clift who predictably protested, "No, they aren't" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

March 11th, 2012 4:20 PM
Newsweek's Eleanor Clift got a bit of a tongue-lashing from US News and World Report's Mort Zuckerman on this weekend's McLaughlin Group. After Clift predictably praised President Obama's press conference last week, Zuckerman aggressively shot back, "That's nonsense to say the Israelis don't think through the consequences of war! That’s ridiculous!" (video follows with transcript and…

Rich Lowry Schools Eleanor Clift: This Is a 'Flat Out Tax and Spend Bi

February 18th, 2012 5:23 PM
Newsweek's Eleanor Clift on PBS's McLaughlin Group Friday voiced predictable praise for President Obama's just released budget claiming you can't "drastically cut a deficit before you invigorate the economy or you’re going to look at a lost decade." National Review's Rich Lowry quickly refuted this nonsense telling his progressive co-panelist, "This isn’t a Keynesian budget. It’s a flat out…

Eleanor Clift Says Something So Dumb Mort Zuckerman Does Double Facepa

January 28th, 2012 4:57 PM
How many times have you watched a political talk show and just couldn't imagine the nonsense coming out of some liberal pundit's mouth? On PBS's McLaughlin Group Friday, Newsweek's Eleanor Clift said something so absolutely absurd about tax cuts that U.S. News and World Report's Mort Zuckerman did a double facepalm on camera in disbelief (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Eleanor Clift: Romney Withholding Tax Returns Because They'd Show Offs

January 14th, 2012 3:41 PM
Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has up to this point opted not to make his tax returns public. Not surprisingly, Newsweek's Eleanor Clift smells a rat and expressed her conspiratorial opinion during the predictions segment of PBS's McLaughlin Group Friday (video follows with transcript):

McLaughlin Group Pays Tribute to Tony Blankley

January 14th, 2012 3:21 PM
Like a lot of Americans who live outside the D.C. metro area, I was first introduced to Tony Blankley by PBS's McLaughlin Group. It was therefore quite fitting that host John McLaughlin as well as panelists Michelle Bernard, Pat Buchanan, Eleanor Clift, and Clarence Page on Friday paid tribute to Blankley who sadly passed away last Saturday (video follows with commentary):

Tom Friedman: 'I’d Give Obama High Marks for Fulfilling Bush's Forei

November 13th, 2011 4:56 PM
New York Times columnist Tom Friedman this weekend said he'd give President Obama high marks for fulfilling Bush's foreign policy. This surprising observation on PBS's McLaughlin Group came somewhat coincident with Chris Matthews saying George W. Bush was actually better at conveying his message than the current White House resident (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Eleanor Clift: Herman Cain Got 'Free Ride' From Media Until Politico H

November 6th, 2011 4:33 PM
There have been a lot of ridiculous comments made in the past week since Politico published its hit piece on Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain, but one of the most absurd yet came from Newsweek's Eleanor Clift this weekend. Appearing on PBS's McLaughlin Group, Clift actually said, "This is the press doing what the press should be doing, and they should have done due diligence on…

Eleanor Clift: President Sent ObamaCare to Supreme Court Because He's

October 2nd, 2011 4:45 PM
Newsweek's Eleanor Clift made a rather shocking prediction on this weekend's "McLaughlin Group." "Obama’s justice department took the, asked for healthcare ruling from the Supreme Court because they’re nervous that they’re not going to be in office a year and a half from now" (video follows with commentary):

Eleanor Clift: Fannie and Freddie Didn't Cause Mortgage Collapse - It

July 10th, 2011 9:59 PM
It is truly fascinating how liberal media members will do anything to protect the reputation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. On this weekend's "McLaughlin Group," Newsweek's Eleanor Clift revised history to largely absolve the two government-sponsored enterprises for last decade's mortgage collapse while predictably blaming it on Wall Street and of course George W. Bush (video follows with…
