With Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh newly sworn into the Supreme Court, CNN host S.E. Cupp wanted to discuss how “the media has played a starring role” in tearing down the Judge during her Unfiltered program. CNN media reporter Brain Stelter joined her Saturday evening where they defended the media’s antics and downplayed their anti-Kavanaugh fervor as simple “sloppiness.”

Veteran journalist Ted Koppel absolutely unloaded on CNN, Brian Stelter, and the state of journalism in 2018. Over the weekend two former CNN big-wigs, founder Ted Turner and former long-time analyst Jeff Greenfield expressed disappointment in the direction the network has been heading. Turner thought they were spending too much time on politics, while Greenfield accurately noted that many of the people working there counted themselves as part of the anti-Trump “resistance”.

CNN and the broadcast networks on Sunday and Monday hyped Matt Damon’s mocking of Brett Kavanaugh on Saturday Night Live. But these media outlets skipped just how awkward it is for the actor who failed to notice, or stand up to, his own sexual predator ex-boss, Harvey Weinstein.

Former NBC and CBS star Katie Couric sat for an interview with Brian Stelter on CNN’s Reliable Sources on Sunday, and celebrated the tenth anniversary of her Sarah Palin interview. The full podcast is highly recommended as Stelter delved into his upbringing and his (sadly, wrong) views about media bias in addition so solid, universal career advice.

The media don’t  care about online censorship -- unless it happens to them. The liberal site ThinkProgress cried foul after it was fact checked for a story it posted on Facebook involving Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. The original article said Kavanaugh would “kill Roe v. Wade.” Not only was ThinkProgress fact checked, but the article was fact checked by the conservative Weekly Standard.

New York Times reporter John Koblin hailed, in feminist terms, liberal CNN International journalist Christiane Amanpour taking over the old Charlie Rose slot on PBS with Amanpour & Company : “No Longer Dark, Clubby, Or Led by a Man."
