It was another bad day on Wednesday for The Resistance as it was revealed that the Southern District of New York had ended their probe concerning the Trump Organization and alleged hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels and Playboy model Karen McDougal. And on cue, the CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News saw no reason to acknowledge this while ABC's World News Tonight only gave it a 16-second news brief.
In a move that's not shocking, considering how the mainstream media feels about Donald Trump, MSNBC and the networks will not carry his Fourth of July address to the nation. Instead, the liberal cable channel and the network news on ABC, CBS and NBC will only show clips from the event, which is still being carried in real time by their respective online and app streaming platforms, as well as the Fox News Channel and C-SPAN.
Reacting to the Bernie Sanders town hall on Fox News, Morning Joe praises FNC for opening the door to different points of view. DNC chairman Tom Perez is criticized for prohibiting FNC from conducting a Dem presidential debate. And panel members praise as fair FNC personalities Bret Baier, Martha McCallum, Chris Wallace, Bill Hemmer, and Shep Smith.
What kind of Twilight Zone are we living in when Democrats pretend that the mainstream media are objective journalists and Fox News is an arm of the Trump administration? People are always talking about media bias, so why am I bringing this up now? Well, because of two news alerts that popped up on my phone. First, I read that the Democratic National Committee is refusing to partner with Fox News for the 2020 primary debates.
In his first-ever appearance on Fox News Channel’s Special Report, legendary conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh shared his analysis Thursday night on everything from the Special Counsel report, to the 2020 election, to the “drive-by media’s” influence on our discourse. It was on that latter topic Limbaugh really ripped onto the liberal media for their twisted world view the last few years.
It was a meeting worth taking note of, not just because President Trump was meeting with the so-called “Trump of the Tropics” but because of what it could mean for both countries going forward, and for dealing with the crisis in Venezuela. But the broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC) were apparently bored by Trump’s Tuesday meeting with Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro and ignored it altogether.
Wow, 370 pages of closed-door testimony from an FBI lawyer who alleges the Obama Justice Department told the FBI not to charge Secretary Hillary Clinton for “gross negligence?” The Democrat-controlled House shutting down the committee charged with investigating possible bias at the DOJ and FBI? Those things sound irresistibly tantalizing for reporters but for the Big Three broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC), it drew only yawns.
Howie Kurtz, host of Fox News’s Media Buzz, sat down for an interview with Special Report anchor Bret Baier, which aired on Sunday. The two discussed the Democratic National Committee’s decision not to allow Fox News to moderate a Democratic primary debate and the New Yorker article that they used as a justification for making that decision. Baier concluded that “there is a bit of Fox derangement syndrome with a section of the left.”
Hardly a day goes by without liberals in the “mainstream media” accusing the popular Fox News Channel of having a “unique relationship” with Donald Trump, the Republican occupant of the White House. Of course, those same people avoid or deny that a similar connection existed between former Democrat President Barack Obama and the CNN and MSNBC networks. As a result, Erick Erickson -- a reporter who worked at FNC for five years -- has claimed that “the truth” about the channel and its liberal counterparts has more to do with ratings dominance than any pro-GOP bias.
The Washington Post’s Paul Farhi broke news Wednesday afternoon that the Democratic National Committee would be banning the Fox News Channel from hosting a 2020 presidential primary debate in light of the rabidly anti-Fox hit job by The New Yorker’s Jane Mayer. Of course, the DNC has a fan of the move in CNN’s Reliable Sources host Brian Stelter because Democrats are “dehumanized” and “attacked relentlessly” on FNC’s primetime shows.
In 24 hours, NONE of the flagship morning and evening news programs for the Big Three broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC) saw fit to inform viewers that liberal darling, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) was facing serious accusations of campaign finance violations. If true, those allegations carried possible jail time.
The rollout of Senator Amy Klobuchar’s (D-MN) presidential campaign was immediately mired by serious reports sourced from former staffers that claimed the Senator was an abusive boss. When ABC’s Good Morning America questioned her on Monday, they avoided all the terrible details choosing instead to lob softball questions about her being a “tough boss”. But during Tuesday’s Special Report, Fox News anchor Bret Baier pressed her on whether she had ever “throw[n] a binder at anybody”.
