Run, Stacey, run? That seemed to be the message from the hosts of CBS This Morning on Wednesday as the journalists talked to the failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate. The question of her running for president or vice president in 2020 was raised multiple times. Co-host Bianna Golodryga wondered, “During the lunch with the Vice President, did the conversation of a potential future ticket between the two of you... you being his vice president on the ticket? Did that come up?”

The journalists at CBS This Morning are not, generally speaking, tough on Democrats, especially the 2020 presidential candidates. When they offer tough questions, it’s often from the left. That’s why it was so surprising on Tuesday to see the show’s co-hosts grill Kamala Harris about the costs of her policy proposals and even the concept of federalism.

All three networks spent Thursday morning gushing in favor of New Zealand’s new gun ban, touting that it had “widespread, bipartisan support” with “very little opposition.” ABC, NBC and CBS also spent time shaming the U.S. for not adopting a similar buyback measure.

The journalists at CBS This Morning on Thursday joined the collective media gush over Beto O’Rourke’s announcement that he is running for president, falsely spinning the far-left Democrat as part of the “center.” Host John Dickerson fawned over the Democrat who is off to a  “glowing start.” Reporter Ed O'Keefe even showed pictures of a dental visit O’Rourke put on social media.

After all three broadcast networks on Monday ignored the latest anti-Semitic comments from left-wing Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, on Tuesday, CBS This Morning at least managed to offer 30 seconds of air time to the scandal. The broadcast highlighted how Omar’s repeated offensive remarks have become such a problem for Democrats that House leadership has scheduled a vote on a resolution to condemn anti-Semitism.

The journalists at CBS This Morning on Friday threw softball after softball at fired FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe. The co-hosts even invited McCabe, who was dismissed due to lack of candor, to weigh in on the reliability of witness Michael Cohen. Guest co-host Alex Wagner wondered, “Mr. McCabe, the country watched Michael Cohen testify to Congress, congressional oversight, this week. Did you find him a credible witness?”

On Wednesday, the hosts of CBS This Morning welcomed climate scientist Katharine Hayhoe on the program to offer tips on how to best sell the climate change agenda. Much of the discussion focused on ways to convince “doubters,” prompting co-host Bianna Golodryga to bemoan: “But why does it have to become political, I guess is the question that I’m asking, and why is this a debate at all?”

All three morning shows on Friday reacted with extreme alarm to the news that Donald Trump would declare a state of emergency on the southern border in order to fund a wall.  CBS This Morning journalists sounded down right apocalyptic, warning that the republic was in danger. Co-host Bianna Golodryga opened the show this way: “We begin with President Trump who is poised to take action today that could test our 230-year-old system of checks and balances in government.”

Liberal journalists are worried. CBS This Morning on Tuesday continued the onslaught against Howard Schultz and his potential 2020 independent bid. Very worried that the former Starbucks CEO could reelect Donald Trump, the show’s hosts played a clip of a heckler calling him an “a**hole” and wondered if would reconsider.

ABC’s Good Morning America admitted Monday that the incident at the March for Life that went viral appearing to show Catholic teens in MAGA hats sneering at a Native American veteran, was taken out of context. However, ABC failed to acknowledge that their own network also slandered these kids with their hasty reporting based off of on one viral video.

CBS This Morning ran a strange segment Monday morning about office party etiquette this holiday season with New York Times contributing writer Jennifer Weiner -- who awkwardly dragged Justice Kavanaugh’s accuser Christine Blasey Ford into it. As the left tends to do, Weiner made the concept of a Christmas party political, worrying that it just another way women would be sexually harassed for what they wear.

On Tuesday, The Hollywood Reporter released an extensive poll on the news habits of consumers plus a poll of 51 cable and broadcast network news hosts and late-night comedy hosts. In the full blog, check out the seven areas that The Hollywood Reporter article on their own poll didn’t have quite the time to do a deep dive on.
