CNN.com Didn't Send Breaking News Alerts of Today's Dow Dive
October 6th, 2008 4:42 PM
Updated below. Last Monday as the U.S. House of Representatives voted down the initial bailout package, both Fox News and CNN sent e-mail alert subscribers numerous alerts about the Dow's dive. The market recovered some the following day, a development that CNN neglected to mention in the same e-mail alerts. Yet today, with the bailout package having been passed and signed into law by the…
The MRC's Sweet-On-Obama Sixteen Media Bias Tournament
October 6th, 2008 1:12 PM
Update's Update: I have been assured by IT that we are FINALLY ready to go with this. The American people in poll after poll and in greater and growing numbers are railing against the egregious liberal bias of the press. And nowhere are the media more horrendously slanted than in their coverage of the presidential campaign of Illinois Sen. Barack Obama. They are (to say the least) very, very…

October 6th, 2008 12:34 PM
"Does Palin have explaining to do," Chicago Tribune religion blogger Manya Brachear asked in her post-vice presidential debate blog post. Here's how Brachear opened her October 3 entry at her "The Seeker" blog:Pentecostals have called on the mainstream media to stop mocking their sister Sarah Palin. But when will the Republican vice-presidential candidate answer the questions that swirl every…
Newsweek: Palin Too Common, Too Stupid to be VP, She's 'Dangerous
October 6th, 2008 8:04 AM
Newsweek's Jon Meacham thinks that Governor Sarah Palin is too much a commoner and too stupid to be allowed to become vice president of the United States of America and apparently his employer agrees with him. The October 13 cover of Newsweek features a close up photo of the Governor with the headline "She's One of the Folks (And that's the problem)," and Meacham writes the accompanying cover…

Michelle Malkin is reporting, based on e-mails from several readers, that MSNBC's Keith Olbermann is at it again.Last year, Olbermann, host of MSNBC's "Countdown," parlayed his previous experience as an ESPN SportsCenter anchor to become involved with NBC's Sunday Night Football broadcasts. In April 2007, when asked if he would be apolitical during these broadcasts, Olbermann told Sports…
'Stunning' News from NYT: Campbell Brown Shifts Towards Commentary
October 5th, 2008 9:24 PM
The New York Times has just shocked us with this news: the CNN anchor on Election Center, Campbell Brown, is shifting over to commentary. This is quite hard to believe since Brown conceals her own views so well that it is impossible to detect the slightest trace of bias on her part. The Times informs us of this most unusual transition:
CNN Ignores Bernardine Dohrn's Terrorist Past While Defending Obama
October 5th, 2008 8:58 PM
The mainstream media is going through another one of their meltdown moments as they rush to defend Barack Obama from his relationship with American terrorists William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn. (plural)John Stephenson of Newsbusters detailed CNN's supposed fact check that came in response to a speech that Sarah Palin gave. In that speech Palin did the job the mainstream media refuses to do by…
AP: Palin is a Racist
October 5th, 2008 12:22 PM
Talk about an idiotic assertion, but the Associated Press just claimed that Governor Sarah Palin is a racist for saying that Obama used to "pal around with terrorists." According to the AP's Douglass K. Daniel, Palin is a racist because the word "terrorist" is construed now-a-days to mean a "dark-skinned radical Muslim" so that makes her a "racist" in his blinkered view.
See, it isn't overt,…
Charlie Gibson: 'It's Important to Expose' Sarah Palin
October 5th, 2008 11:05 AM
So, instead of merely reporting the news, now reporters are the news? Apparently Charlie Gibson thinks he is, anyway. He gave an interview to the Toledo Blade on October 5 as if his opinions of the race for the White House are somehow more important than the news of the candidates. You remember the candidates, don't you Chuck? You know, those guys who are actually going to be elected, the ones…

Billions of Barrels Could Mean Trillions of Government Dollars; Media
October 5th, 2008 9:49 AM
Old Media's coverage of the recently-lifted executive and congressional bans on offshore exploration and drilling for oil and natural gas largely overlooked an important element that should have been very relevant to the discussion. Supporters of lifting the bans surely share much of the blame for only rarely citing it. Though they have frequently noted the hundreds of billions of dollars a years…
Examiner.com Attacks Gov. Palin’s Unborn Grandchild
October 5th, 2008 6:10 AM
Ben Kamin: In Year 2024 Palin's Grandchild a 'Bastard,' Loser Palin Operates a 'Lenscrafters,' Hates Grandson
Apparently, Rabbi Ben Kamin thinks he's a funny guy. Yes, he must be auditioning for SNL with his latest column on the Examiner.com, a Denver based, Internet news service. You see, to devise the newest way to smear Governor Sarah Palin, the "Rabbi" thought it would be hilarious to wonder…
False Rumor on CNN's iReport Causes Apple Computer Stock Price Dip
October 4th, 2008 5:12 AM
One of CNN's citizen reporters on their new iReport service caused a bit of panic for Apple's stock prices this week when one of those reports featured a false claim that Apple CEO Steve Jobs had suffered a heart attack. With rumors swirling the stock price fell until official news from Apple quashing the rumor calmed investors' fears.
Gov. Swift to NB: Palin Wants to Speak Directly to Americans, Avoid MS
October 3rd, 2008 3:50 PM
Former Massachusetts Governor Jane Swift was diplomatic, but her message was clear: because Sarah Palin remains doubtful of getting a fair shake from the MSM, she wants to take her message directly to the American people. Swift, speaking on behalf of the McCain-Palin campaign, made the remark in response to a question from this NewsBuster during the course of a conference call this afternoon.…
