Friday evening, Woodruff, apparently because whatever evidence there is of ISIS involvement in Thursday's terrorist massacre in Nice, France is in her view insufficiently direct, speculated that "It could have been the act of one person disgruntled, upset with his life."

ABC and CBS broke into their Saturday morning programming for special reports on Donald Trump’s official unveiling of Indiana Republican Governor Mike Pence as his running mate and in the moments afterward, ABC couldn’t help but fawn over the Democratic reaction to the ticket as Clinton “surrogates are now on fire” with liberal Senator Elizabeth Warren (Mass.) going “on a Twitter tirade.”

In quite the egregious chyron fail, CNN’s live coverage on Friday of the Nice, France terror attack featured an interview with one young survivor and was deemed by the CNN graphic of having been a “Trump Rampage Survivor” hinting that he had lived to tell of a rampage carried out by the presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. 

So far, Univision’s national evening newscast coverage of the GOP platform has solely focused on the border wall plank, but has completely missed another development of importance to many of their viewers: the inclusion of strong language endorsing Puerto Rican statehood in the Republican platform.

News of the evening terrorist truck attack in Nice, France first appeared at the Drudge report at 5:06 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time Thursday afternoon. On Thursday night, MSNBC’s The Last Word spent the duration of its show on the Nice, France truck terror attack and New York Times columnist Frank Bruni lamented that the “really, really volatile moment” could be used have negative connotations on both European and “French politics” in light of Brexit with “feelings of nativism, wanting to close doors.”
