July 12th, 2017 3:41 PM
There are political movements to push the federal minimum hourly wage to $15. Raising the minimum wage has popular support among Americans. Their reasons include fighting poverty, preventing worker exploitation and providing a living wage. For the most part, the intentions behind the support for raising the minimum wage are decent.

On Tuesday, NPR's All Things Considered channeled its inner millenial by airing a full segment on smartphone apps for singles in the U.K. who are opposed to Brexit. Lauren Frayer played up how "many British singles...have started posting how they voted — 'leave' or 'remain' — on their dating profiles." She also spotlighted the "Better Together Dating" app, which apparently "bills itself as Tinder…

Limbaugh Responds to Damaging Trump Jr. Story: Media Are Losing It!

July 11th, 2017 8:11 PM
Conservative talk radio icon Rush Limbaugh spent the bulk of his eponymous Tuesday program responding to the troubling e-mail trail of the Donald Trump Jr.-Russian lawyer meeting by slamming the hyperventilating news media while giving a hat-tip to “our buddy Brent Bozell and his gang at NewsBusters.”

Liberal Writer: Planned Parenthood’s Idea of Freedom Beats the NRA’s

July 11th, 2017 4:48 PM
Conservatives’ professed devotion to freedom is mostly fake news, believes Paul Rosenberg. “Liberals and Democrats actually care about freedom substantially more than conservatives and Republicans do,” argued Rosenberg this past Sunday in Salon. “When it comes down to the most basic forms of freedom Americans have long recognized, conservatives may talk a good game, but that talk is largely BS.”

View Panel Explodes After Bila Claims There’s Liberal Bias in Academia

July 11th, 2017 2:22 PM
Just like in the mainstream media, any common sense statement uttered by a conservative on The View is treated with absolute shock and horror. During a particularly stupid conversation Tuesday about a poll which found 58% of Republicans think colleges have a negative impact on the country, libertarian host Jedediah Bila suggested that liberal bias in academia was probably the reason for this poll…

CBS Bemoans and Smears Conservatives for Using ‘Snowflake’ to Insult

July 11th, 2017 12:39 AM
Instead of covering the news of the day, CBS News Sunday Morning chose to lecture their viewers about why it was a bad thing to call someone a “snowflake.” “It's the political putdown of the moment: snowflake. And to its fans, Faith Salie has one word of advice: chill,” hyped host Jane Pauley as she led into the segment. A measured tone for a segment that freely smeared conservatives.

LOL: Fake News Anchor Rather Bemoans ‘Sensationalism’ of '90s TV News

July 10th, 2017 7:10 PM
Sifting through Sunday night’s premiere of CNN’s The Nineties, the television episode included a segment on the news business and, aside from nothing about the media’s far-left bias that exploded in the 1990s, one ironic observation was that the film makers turned to Marvin Kalb and fake news master Dan Rather to lament the negatives of media expansion.

The feminist writer also took aim at baby showers in general, and claimed, "…

Pathetic Slate Hypes Charlie Gard Is Why U.S. Needs Single-Payer Care

July 10th, 2017 11:22 AM
Appallingly, I came across this question in regard to the Charlie Gard case: “What duty of care do we owe them simply on account of their being human beings, who are by nature possessed of an inalienable dignity?” As a fellow human being, my only response is that we owe all human beings the best care possible. I thought most leftists would agree with this sentiment, given their generally…

July 8th, 2017 1:20 PM
First Amendment cases are very much on the national mind these days, and the news from the U.S. Supreme Court (SCOTUS) is very encouraging for those who believe in strong protections for constitutional freedoms. The court delivered a First Amendment victory last week in a case involving religious free exercise, and kept alive hope for victories in two other cases where the hot button issues of…

On Friday, AP's Michael Virtanen and Alan Fram touted the apparent conundrum that Republican Senator Shelley Moore Capito faces in her state of West Virginia, as the state is "one of the...sickest states in the U.S., relying heavily on Obama's 2010 statute [ObamaCare], which Trump and top Senate Republicans want to repeal and replace."

Jezebel: Mixed-Race Couples in Movies Promote 'White Supremacy'

July 7th, 2017 6:06 PM
Aditi Natasha Kini blasted Hollywood portrayals of interracial couples in a Thursday item for the feminist website Jezebel — specifically, two movies about "a brown man wanting to date a white woman." Kini asserted that the films were "masturbatory fantasies." The writer singled out these movies for their depictions of "brown" women as "caricatures...and/or the butts of a joke." She contended, "…
