On Thursday night, it appeared as though MSNBC’s Hardball host Chris Matthews was tired from the long hours covering the 2020 Democratic presidential debates as he observed #TBT with riffs about how Barack Obama and his rise are “still thrilling to me” even though “[t]he only thing I've ever had against Obama is when he recedes from us” because “I want him back.”

Since the sudden, forced departure of Dr. Leana Wen from Planned Parenthood, some have been skeptical about the organization’s motives. Sure, to most normal Americans Democratic presidential candidate Marianne Williamson sounds like some hippy dippy weirdo. That’s the joke. But then again, we have our chakras out of alignment, because there are some very serious witches out there who believe there is some spiritual power behind Williamson’s debate night talk of “dark psychic forces.”

During a live edition of NBC’s Late Night early Thursday morning, left-wing host Seth Meyers attacked MSNBC’s Chris Matthews for daring to challenge Elizabeth Warren on her extreme socialist health care plan following Tuesday night’s Democratic debate. Meyers savaged the Hardball host and accused him of trying to “mansplain” to the 2020 presidential candidate.  

Returning to NBC’s Today show Thursday morning to react to night two of CNN’s Democratic debate, political analyst and former Senator Claire McCaskill provided a blunt assessment of expansive field of 2020 contenders, suggesting it was time to “get rid of” some of them and “begin to focus” on the top tier of presidential candidates.

Considering how much bashing MSNBC has done of the CNN Democratic presidential debates and the moderators (Dana Bash, Don Lemon, and Jake Tapper), it was no surprise when the late-night portion of their coverage (12:30 a.m.-2:00 a.m. Eastern Thursday) repeatedly bashed CNN for having and insufficiently covered issues like education and impeachment and created too much conflict.

One of the great things about the Democratic primary debates, so far, was how they so clearly exposed the radical nature of today’s Democratic Party. That fact wasn’t lost on CNN following their second debate on Wednesday as they grilled former HUD Secretary Julian Castro; urging him to find another way to campaign on immigration and not call for “decriminalizing” illegal border crossings, a.k.a…

Unlike their late-night analysis after Tuesday’s debate, MSNBC had their acts together on Wednesday night, putting together in many of their initial takes a near-unanimous message that former Vice President Joe Biden was on the defensive and that it was an abomination how many of the Democratic presidential candidates condemned the Obama administration.

Even though Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren wasn’t on the debate stage Wednesday for night two of CNN’s Democratic primary debates, the network’s journalists still declared her the winner. After the debate finally wrapped up, CNN’s crack team of partisan journalists wasted little time in declaring Warren the stand out candidate.

Channeling Bernie Sanders on Wednesday’s Hardball, MSNBC’s Morning Joe co-host and Trump friend-turned-foe Joe Scarborough loudly pontificated about the “un-American” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) aka “Moscow Mitch” for not, in his mind, sufficiently pushing back against Russian meddling and trying to destroy the health care of millions.

On Wednesday's New Day show, during a panel discussion of the previous night's Democratic presidential debate, CNN political analyst April Ryan gushed over candidate Marianne Williamson because she brought up the issue of the U.S. government making reparations for slavery.

Appearing on MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell Reports on Wednesday, just hours before night two of CNN’s Democratic debate, Hardball host Chris Matthews played debate coach for Joe Biden, advising the former Vice President to deflect any criticism of his record from fellow Democrats by simply attacking President Trump “over and over again.”

While analyzing the first night of the CNN Democratic debate, on Wednesday’s CBS This Morning, chief Washington correspondent Major Garrett touted the “ferocity and intensity” with which Senators Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders defended their extreme policy proposals on health care and climate change.
