The United States or Iran? CBS News flaunted whose side they were taking during Monday’s Evening News. In her report on the gatherings in Iran, foreign correspondent Elizabeth Palmer peddled Iranian propaganda, hyped the crowds in Tehran mourning the loss of a terrorist, and boosted a message of death against President Trump.

On Monday, while marveling over the “massive crowds” that “filled the streets of Tehran” following the U.S. killing of Iran’s leading terrorist Qasem Soleimani, NBC’s Today show hyped the notion that the authoritarian regime was under “pressure” to “retaliate in a big way” by killing Americans.

Based on crowd size and man-in-the-street interviews, CNN reporter Fred Pleitgen, reporting from Tehran, claims that the killing of Qasem Soleimani has "unified" Iran.

ABC News kicked off Sunday’s Good Morning America by marveling at the sea of mourners in the streets of Iran and hyping the Iranian politicians who gathered on the floor of their legislature to chant “death to America;” in the wake of the U.S. airstrike that killed Iranian general, Qasem Soleimani on Thursday.

Joy Reid interviews Richard Engel, NBC News chief foreign correspondent, regarding the strike on Soleimani. Contrary to what she was no doubt hoping for, Engel says it was likely that Soleimani was indeed in Iraq to plan an attack, and moreover that he had no reason to doubt that he directed the attack on the US embassy in Iraq. 

In the aftermath of the strike that took out Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps top general Qasem Soleimani on Friday, MSNBC's Ayman Mohyeldin managed to question the legality of the strike, portray Soleimani has a "complicated" man, and to question the government's assessment of the threat he posed.  

On Friday, all three network morning shows were quick to seize on Democratic talking points slamming the U.S. killing of Iranian terrorist leader Qasem Soleimani as “reckless” and even “illegal.” It all came amid media hand-wringing over the air strike in which journalists labeled the brutal murderer “iconic” and “inspirational.”

Reacting to the U.S. killing of Iranian Revolutionary Guard commander and terrorist Qasem Soleimani, on Friday, NBC’s Today show warned of “the entire region on edge” and feared that the death of the “iconic military leader” created a “more dangerous world.”
