The debate tone was set with the first question. Debate co-moderator David Muir, ABC’s news managing editor, asked Vice President Kamala Harris: “I want to begin tonight with the issue voters repeatedly say is their No. 1 issue ... When it comes to the economy, do you believe Americans are better off than they were four years ago?”

After bashing Donald Trump nonstop for spreading various conspiracy theories, the PBS News Hour seemed quite comfortable spreading its own election conspiracies on Thursday evening, going beyond even MSNBC in suggesting that Trump-appointed Postmaster General Louis DeJoy (retained by the Biden administration) could somehow be fostering ballot delivery delays to help Trump win election…

It wasn’t a hard call. At this point in the history of televised debates, a history that began with the 1960 Kennedy-Nixon debates ( 64 years ago!!) and has continued on with a seemingly endless stream of both Republican vs. Democrat nominee debates plus Republican vs. Republican and Democrat vs. Democrat nomination debates, one would think ABC would have learned a thing or two.

After having ABC debate moderators Linsey Davis and David Muir on her side for Tuesday night’s debate, Vice President Kamala Harris sat down with Brian Taff of ABC’s Philadelphia affiliate for an even softer interview that should lead the national media to demand she face more tough questioning.

When Jimmy Kimmel eventually retires, maybe MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle could take his place. On Friday, Ruhle was not happy with young Republicans who are unpersuaded by Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Kamala Harris because they care more about economic issues than social one because she could not “remember the last time I heard Kamala Harris talk about anything like that.” Meanwhile, RiskReversal…

Sitting in on Friday for host and NewsBusters Executive Editor Tim Graham, Associate Editor Nick Fondacaro and I dove into an absurd Los Angeles Times profile celebrating ABC’s debate co-moderator Linsey Davis for, along with co-moderator David Muir, interjecting for so-called fact-checks of Donald Trump. 

CBS doesn’t seem to know what the word “impartial” means. While praising singer and Harris supporter Taylor Swift for telling people to register to vote, CBS Mornings co-host and Kamala Harris-donor Gayle King proclaimed that she, her co-hosts, and the network don’t just “try to remain impartial,” but that they actually “are impartial.”

CNN host Chris Wallace joined his colleagues on CNN News Central on Friday to promote his latest episode of HBO Max's Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace with actor Robert De Niro. In both shows, Wallace marveled at De Niro labeling Trump a “gangster” and claimed that the accusation means more coming from him because he has played gangsters in movies.

John Leguizamo is the kind of person who thinks political comedy is just ranting at someone with excessive amounts of swear words. On Thursday, Leguizamo stopped by Comedy Central and The Daily Show to claim that Republicans only want white people to vote by labeling GOP-backed election laws “bullshit.”

The Peacock Network presented as a news report an item demonizing those who caution against illegal aliens voting, while simultaneously admitting that illegal aliens vote. This report is another instance of the Regime Media holding off on reporting something inconvenient until it can be made into a Trump-adverse story. 

New York Times’ media reporter Michael Grynbaum made Wednesday’s paper with the smugly confident post-presidential debate “Media Memo,” “ABC’s Matter-of-Fact Moderators Built Factual Guardrails Around Trump.” He wrote: "Using calm and authoritative tones, Mr. Muir and Ms. Davis offered a model for real-time fact-checking that has been absent from many recent presidential debates."

ABC moderator Whoopi Goldberg had an absolute meltdown on Thursday’s edition of The View, when she flipped out on Ohio Senator and GOP vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance. His crime? He dared to state the fact the billionaires like singer Taylor Swift were not noticeably harmed by the current poor economic conditions and high inflation because they can still easily afford necessities…

During Tuesday night’s debate with Kamala Harris, Donald Trump called out Tim Walz’s extremely radical and, frankly, diabolical abortion stance as governor of Minnesota, but for PBS’s Christiane Amanpour, the fact that Trump even brought it up made him “very, very extreme,” while her panel labeled it "extraordinarily stupid."
