After a slow start, the legacy media eventually came around to covering the Boulder firebombing for what it was: an antisemitic terror attack in furtherance of Hamas’s goals. However, CBS News found a novel way to slink towards the gutter: by lamenting the hypothetical fate of the fire bomber under Trump immigration policies.

As you may know by now, there was in Boulder, Colorado what in all likelihood appears to be a terrorist attack against local Jews marching in support of the hostages still held by Hamas in Gaza. Far-left networks CNN and MSNBC viewed their coverage of the attack as an opportunity to bash senior Trump-appointed FBI leadership.

With President Donald Trump back in The White House, the legacy media have rekindled their interest in stories on presidential corruption- refreshed after ignoring the cornucopia of corrupt acts attributable to the past occupant of The White House. The latest instance: ABC anchor George Stephanopoulos.

In what appears to be a return to 2017 form, the media have reverted to desperately searching for Resistance figureheads in opposition to President Donald Trump that they may elevate and then desperately cling to. Case in point, ABC’s recent coverage of Harvard University.

The death of Texas teen Ava Moore, who was set to attend the Air Force Academy, was but the latest in a long trail of death and destruction at the hands of criminal illegal aliens allowed to enter into the country unabated. And in an awful but predictable omission, most of the major newscasts neglected to report this story.

The temporary injunction in federal court against Trump Administration efforts to stop New York City’s controversial congestion pricing scheme drew cheerful coverage on NBC Nightly News. It appears that, after a four-year hiatus, the network has rediscovered federalism.

In a twist that will shock absolutely no one, the paragons of elite Acela journalism at MSNBC are upset that the Federal Bureau of Investigation has decided to investigate such unsolved mysteries as the J6 pipe bomber, the Dobbs leak, and the source of the cocaine left in a White House locker. All of which, of course went uninvestigated during the Biden Administration.

Axios’ Alex Thompson joined Fox News Sunday for an interview on his recently published Original Sin, co-written with CNN’s Jake Tapper. Of all the revelations during his interview, the most damning being that he felt “ostracized” by many in the legacy media.

The onslaught of media stories about the Trump family’s stake in cryptocurrency betrays a strange new interest in coverage of the perception of corruption. As Speaker Mike Johnson reminded CNN’s Jake Tapper, things were (D)ifferent back then.

The United States House of Representatives passed its “One Big, Beautiful Bill”, which seeks to renew the tax cuts first enacted in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, a significant plank of President Donald Trump’s economic agenda. But coverage on the legacy media newscasts was mixed, at best.

It appears that the legacy media have learned nothing from the release of the Hur tapes, and the release of Tapper/Thompson’s “Original Sin”. Faced with former President Biden’s devastating cancer diagnosis, and with the choice between investigative journalism or stenography, the media continue to choose the latter.

It’s Publication Day for the much-ballyhooed Original Sin, authored by Jake Tapper of CNN and Alex Thompson of Axios, and with it, the requisite media tour. And what sounded like an honest admission by Tapper on CBS Evening News Plus is really a searing indictment of the media’s conduct throughout the Biden years.

On the Monday Evening News, only one legacy media newscast mentioned the serious questions around the Biden White House while covering the former president’s cancer diagnosis. The others continued to pretend it didn’t exist.
