Once prosperous, Cuba now faces severe shortages, with ration books offering little as store shelves sit empty. While AP covers the hardship, it avoids mentioning the main cause: decades of communism. Once abundant goods have vanished, leaving Cubans to struggle in a crumbling socialist system where even basic items must often be bought with U.S. dollars.

When George Orwell wrote Animal Farm, he set out to tell an allegorical retelling of the Russian Revolution and the dangers of communism, Stalinism, and collectivism. However, actor and director Andy Serkis’s recent adaptation sought to make capitalism the problematic system, and he joined weekday host Vladimir Duthiers on CBS Saturday Morning to promote it.

Their headline: “The Rich Don’t Play by the Rules. So Why Should I? Why petty theft might be the new political protest.”

We viewed NBC’s hyped announcement of a Kristen Welker interview with Cuban dictatorship puppet Miguel Díaz Canel with dread expecting very little in the way of tough questions, a lot of uninterrupted regime propaganda, and a nonzero percentage of obsequiousness. We regret to inform you that we were not wrong. 

In a new low, the once-vaunted Cable News Network is now reduced to running crisis communications for the nepo grandbabies of Latin American communist dictators. A recent interview of Fidel Castro’s grandson demonstrates the rot at CNN.

The Elitist Media Sunday Shows did their part to elevate and promote the astroturfed “No Kings” rallies throughout the country as some sort of organic expression of discontent against the current state of affairs. Only one of those shows featured any sort of conservative pushback against this premise.

After a second night of airing a bizarre report that played more like a public relations piece, it is clear that NBC News has given themselves to running pro-Cuban regime propaganda. The latest report seeks to make the United States the villain responsible for the effects of the ongoing energy embargo upon the prison island’s healthcare system.

NBC Nightly News deserves a measure of credit for being the only Elitist Media broadcast network newscast to report on the Cuban regime’s proposed economic opening: a “Cubastroika”, if you will. However, the report is plagued with so many essential omissions that one wonders why NBC even bothered.
