British comedian Ricky Gervais has been called “transphobic” over defending women refusing to wax transwomen in Canada because they are uncomfortable dealing with their clients’ very male genitalia. Gervais defended the spa workers saying that it’s “real feminism” for women to choose who to wax or not, but internet users aren’t having it.
Left-wing newspapers certainly aren’t the defenders of free expression they used to be. Canada-based journalist Tracey Linderman filed a fear-mongering report for the U.K.’s Guardian newspaper Tuesday, entitled, “Activists condemn Canadian cinema chain for screening anti-abortion film: Cineplex Entertainment criticized for screening Unplanned, which is said to promote falsehoods about reproductive health.”
According to its producers, pro-life film Unplanned has been effectively “banned” in Canada due to several prominent Canadian distributors’ refusal to pick up the film because of its pro-life content. Both Landmark and Cineplex, “two of the largest distributors in Canada,” have refused to run Unplanned in Canadian theaters. Writer and producer for the film, Chuck Konzelman expressed his belief that it was due to the film’s pro-life content and not due to a “lack of consumer demand.”
The Simpsons went after President Donald Trump and pushed hard for progressive policy in season 30 episode 21 titled “D’oh Canada” which aired on Sunday night.
If one needed evidence of the gross ignorance of millennials, and their teachers and college professors, it's their solid support for socialism and socialist presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders. Socialism has produced tragedy wherever it has been implemented. Last year marked the 40th anniversary of nearly 1,000 Americans perishing in a mass suicide/murder in the jungles of Guyana. Just as Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez see socialism as mankind's salvation, so, too, did Rev. Jim Jones, who told his followers, “God is Socialism, and I am Principle Socialism, and that's what makes me God.”
For two days, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been embroiled in scandal after former Attorney General Jody Wilson-Raybould testified before the House of Commons Justice Committee that he pressured her to back off a bribery investigation into an engineering company. The liberal networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC) have kept the scandal off their morning and evening news shows. But on Thursday, CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News pounced on Benjamin Netanyahu’s impending indictment.
Twitter wants to regulate the kind of speech that’s allowed on its platform. But there will be some backlash from those who are banned.
Tuesday afternoon, CBSNews.com broke a big scoop concerning the Sunday night mass shooting up in Toronto, Canada that left two people dead and 13 wounded. According to the piece on their website, the attacker frequented ISIS propaganda websites and may have lived in the Middle East for some time.
Alex Henderson is ashamed to be an American because we don’t share his fascination with rail transportation. Oh, our healthcare is bad. And lots of other things. He wrote them all down in an article for Alternet.
The Canadian government, lining the pockets of its dairy producers, imposes high tariffs on American dairy imports. That forces Canadians to pay higher prices for dairy products. For example, Canadians pay $5.24 for a 10.5-ounce block of cheddar. In Washington, D.C., that same amount of cheddar sells for $3.64. Canadians pay $3.99 for a 1-pound container of yogurt. In Washington, D.C., you can get nearly twice as much yogurt for a little over $4. It's clear that the Canadian government's tariffs screw its citizens by forcing them to pay higher prices for dairy products.
CNN global affairs analyst and anti-Trump Republican Max Boot has had a rough day with this Trump-Kim summit. So, it was natural for him to repeatedly dismiss the Singapore gathering on Monday’s CNN Tonight as something that “any previous president could have done” and it was only Donald Trump who foolishly decided to make North Korea’s dreams come true and legitimize them on the world stage.
After rustling the feathers of foreign elitists at the G7 summit in Canada over the weekend, President Trump hopped on Air Force One and shot over to Singapore for Monday’s historic meeting with North Korea’s Kim Jong-un. Of course, the liberal media was foaming at the mouth over Trump’s ability to push back against allies and the thought of something getting done with North Korea. The host of CNN’s Inside Politics, John King eagerly joined that bandwagon on Sunday and even said Trump was making Putin happy.
