On Morning Joe, a hate-fueled Joe Scarborough slams First Lady Melania Trump as "shameless, absolutely shameless" for having criticized, in her speech at the second night of the RNC convention, people who are mean on social media, while she did not criticize President Trump's past tweets about Mika and Joe.

Depending on your perspective, the second night of the Republican National Convention was either a patriotic display of all the freedoms and blessings America can offer hardworking people, or an evil showcase, where the worst of our racist, white, Christian heritage was on display in all its jingoistic glory.

The conventions have one long-standing trend in media bias: the description of tone. Every Republican convention is dark and divisive and angry and ultraconservative. Every Democrat convention is soothingly centrist and stuffed with "inspirational" speeches.

The first night of the Republican National Convention provided viewers with many inspirational moments. Perhaps the most memorable one came from Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina, the only Black Republican in the U.S. Senate, who provided the closing speech.

On Tuesday, network morning show coverage of the first night of the Republican National Convention was quite literally composed of Biden campaign talking points smearing the event. Reporters on ABC and CBS even brazenly announced that fact to viewers.

This year’s stunt just happens to include two of their favorite things: celebrity endorsements and lecturing Americans.
