In a not-so-subtle smear attempt, The Economist published a interview with conservative commentator Ben Shapiro and labeled him as a member of the “alt-right.” Shapiro is a mainstream conservative who has taken great pains to distance himself from right-wing fringe groups -- a devout Jew who often preaches about the dangers of tribalism and its destruction of reasonable discourse. After swift backlash the Economist amended the headline. Still, the incident demonstrates the left’s aggressive push to demonize conservative speakers and connect them through implication to unreasonable and even violent and fringe groups.

From the season premiere alone, Syfy’s Happy! is, looking to be one big violent, tasteless, abhorrent mess this year. Based on a limited-run comic series, the show is charting new territory in its second season, and by the look of things, it isn’t pretty. It even just might rival Preacher in hating Christianity.

Let’s see. So far, TBS’s Miracle Workers has depicted our Biblical God as lazy and inept, requiring His assistant to wipe Him after using the bathroom and to help Him operate a microwave oven, denigrated Him with dick jokes, and referred to Him as “an illiterate madman,” who lies and swears. If you think there wouldn’t be much left to use to disparage our Creator with, you’d be wrong.

Showtime’s SMILF, if you haven’t heard, is still a crude, obnoxious take on single motherhood. The only difference this week is an odd change of genre. The latest episode gives us the usual hatred of prayer with a bonus reference to the “kids in cages” narrative.

CBS’s God Friended Me has been pretty well-behaved since its inception. It even made our 2018 Nice List. However, after the show introduced the storyline of Reverend Arthur Finer (Joe Morton) having both an atheist son, Miles (Brandon Michael Hall), and a lesbian daughter, Ali (Javicia Leslie), you knew it was only a matter of time before that plot got out of hand. That finally happened in the episode “Return to Sender” on March 24, as Reverend Finer is being considered for Episcopal Bishop of New York.

The left’s war on Christian groups rages on. The San Antonio City Council recently denied Chick-Fil-A from opening airport concessions in the Texas city because of what the Council and lefty outlet Think Progress call Chick-Fil A’s “anti-LGBTQ donations.”

Two Christian universities with men's basketball teams in the NCAA Tournament this week have become punching bags for intolerant left-wing blogs. At the start of the week, the Outsports LGBT blog heaped hate on Liberty University and Abilene Christian University for standing on faith in opposition to a radical anti-Christian agenda. Then on Thursday, a Deadspin podcast turned the same two schools into piñatas during their "Hater's Guide to March Madness."

Peter Beinart’s March 15 article in The Atlantic, titled “Secular Democrats Are the New Normal,” seems both pleased that Democrats aren't mentioning God anymore and worried that this could hurt their electoral chances against President Donald Trump.

Entertainment media continue to wage war on President Donald Trump and conservatives, with major networks, cable TV, and streaming services hurling insults and ignorant opinions at every opportunity. In February alone, at least 40 separate entertainment programs attacked conservative values and/or President Donald Trump while promoting a hardcore progressive agenda.

Since we last left off on TBS’s anti-religious comedy Miracle Workers, the show (which centers around our Biblical God) has continued to depict God as moronic, inept and an annoyance to everyone around Him, including the assistant He needs to help Him wipe Himself and operate a microwave oven, among other tasks.

Thursday on The View, the co-hosts got into a heated argument over whether Democrats needed to vote on an anti-Semitism resolution, after Rep. Ilhan Omar got blowback for multiple anti-Semitic statements she’s made recently. A frustrated Sunny Hostin tried to turn the scandal around and blame Republicans for their own bigotry, while Meghan McCain tearfully ranted that she was afraid of what the Democrats’ hesitance on condemning Omar meant for the country.

As Democrats fumble about and attempt to grapple with how the party should react to perceived anti-Semitism within the party, there’s another prominent leftist leader who has repeatedly been accused of Jew hatred. Despite the fact that Jeremy Corbyn could easily become Prime Minister of Britain, there has been no network coverage of charges of anti-Semitism against him. The Labour leader is also someone with a connection to socialist Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez here in America.
