Amidst the craziness of our world, it’s beautiful to see that ordinary instances of heroism abound. We hope your hearts are warmed and your spirits are lifted by these stories. 

Women’s magazines are notoriously pro-choice. Therefore when the tweet below appeared in my feed this morning, I thought I knew what to expect.

ESPN’s Around the Horn has gone from one of the best, longest running panel shows the network has ever had, to an absolutely farcical flagship of left-wing lunacy.

In the immortal words of Sergeant Hulka from Stripes, “Lighten up, Francis.” According to CNN.com, there are people who think a tweet from Ellen DeGeneres is racist. “Some on Twitter found the image less than golden,” according to the story, “with cries of racism and insensitivity in joking about a white woman riding the back of a black man.”  

“Protest” is a popular word these days, especially when it downplays reality. Following the violence in Milwaukee last weekend, ABC’s World News Tonight used the words “protest(er)” seven times, but used “riot” only when describing police gear. CBS and NBC each used “riot(er)” once, but also preferred “protest(er),” even though what they described and portrayed amounted to obvious rioting. 

It has been nearly a week since the State Department released its 2015 Annual Report on International Religious Freedom (IRF). To date, the broadcast networks have not even acknowledged the report or its findings; and major newspapers have offered perfunctory coverage. 

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton landed the cover of the most recent issue of GQ, and what he says in the article has put him in the crosshairs of the leftist sports media.Speaking on the subject of race, Newton rejected the notion that criticism of him is fueled by the racism of fans. Saying, “it’s not about race,” and that “we’re beyond that as a nation.” ESPN did not take this well.

Did we miss something, or did the media just admit Hollywood’s double standard on guns? It was a pleasant surprise this morning to discover that USA Today entertainment writer Andrea Mandell thoroughly addressed the issue in a lengthy article entitled “Guns, Politics and Hollywood Collide.” 

Poor Bert and Ernie just got called gay on national television! On tonight's edition of The Match Game on ABC, contestants were asked to fill in the following question: "'Sesame Street' is being rocked by a tabloid scandal. Instead of a rubber ducky, Bert and Ernie were photographed in the bathtub playing with BLANK."

What does it take for lefty Democrats to be convinced that the U.S. should intervene in a foreign country to protect innocent life? As we learned in BrainDead’s “The Path to War Part One: The Gathering Political Storm,” it is a warm and fuzzy picture of a baby seal. Those big eyes did what human exploding heads couldn’t – brought a female lefty to tears.

White women, beware! If you like hairstyles popularized by other cultures, don’t succumb to the urge to imitate them. Doing so might burn you worse than a flat iron. So learned reality TV star Khloe Kardashian after she posted a picture of herself with a “Bantu knot” hairdo. The fateful Instagram post, dated August 10, read “Bantu Babe” as the caption. At a Beyond Sport United event earlier this week, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) chief brand officer Stephanie McMahon announced plans to incorporate gay themes into programming. Sensitivity will be achieved through a partnership with – you guessed it – GLAAD.

The comedy news Hillary fan club has “entertained” with its one-sided shtick for the entire campaign. Now, the fan club’s preeminent member, Stephen Colbert, will entertain America as its votes come in on election night.
