Of Course! Pro-Abortion CBS Reporter Revolves Into 'News Content' Job at Planned Parenthood

From our Revolving Door Department, this had to be the least surprising spin ever from an "objective" TV network into the blood-soaked arms of Planned Parenthood. Young CBS News reporter Kate Smith tweeted on Monday that she has joined the nation's largest abortion conglomerate as "senior director of news content." This makes sense, since it seemed like Planned Parenthood was directing Smith's "news content" while she was at CBS.

"Personal news: Thrilled to be joining Planned Parenthood full-time on this exciting new project. Much, much more to come. Stay tuned!," Smith tweeted.

Smith covered "abortion access" on TV from 2018 to last July. She promoted the 77-year-old abortion clinic volunteer and the woman in her second trimester who was finding it difficult to get an abortion in Texas during the pandemic. But most memorable were the multiple fluff pieces Smith did with Planned Parenthood President Alexis McGill Johnson.

When she quit CBS, she weirdly proclaimed "Now that I’m not a reporter I can be candid about my own opinions on reproductive rights," as if it was a big secret. She added: "I’ll say this: With or without Roe v Wade access to abortion is disappearing across the South and Midwest for low-income women. And it’s happening more or less under the radar."

She continued: "It’s a pivotal moment for abortion rights, and one that deserves a lot of coverage and our attention. Editors, I know there’s reader and viewer fatigue when it seems like the millionth six-week ban. But it's still major news and ought to be covered."

Pro-life activist Ryan Bomberger tweeted "Everyone knows you're pro-abortion. It's not a secret." Smith fired back "It's stupid trolls like you that make covering this beat so difficult for reporters. Congrats."

So here are two videos that underline the obvious PR for Planned Parenthood. From her interview with Alexis McGill Johnson at Davos in 2020:

And this was Kate's "welcome" interview with Johnson in 2019:

Conservative radio host Erick Erickson summed it up on Twitter: “I remember getting notes from several reporters upset with me saying Kate Smith has been nothing but a propagandist for the abortion industry at CBS and now this."
