Nets Yawn at RADICAL Biden Cabinet Pick Who Vouched for Brutally Violent Judge

December 9th, 2020 11:37 AM

Joe Biden has named yet another radical liberal to his cabinet and, once again, hack journalists who were attack dogs against Donald Trump are now ignoring what should be a controversy. The President-Elect on Tuesday nominated Congresswoman Marcia Fudge to run the Department of Housing and Urban Development. This is a woman who, in 2015, vouched for a judge who beat his ex-wife, calling him a “good man who made a bad mistake.” That man, Lance Mason, later stabbed his ex-wife to death

Instead of pointing this startling fact out, CBS This Morning’s Ed O’Keefe on Wednesday blandly explained, “CBS News has learned he plans to nominate Ohio Congresswoman Marcia Fudge to run the Department of Housing and Urban Development.” O’Keefe kept the focus on diversity: “Now, if you are keeping score at home, at this point the President-elect has appointed a dozen cabinet picks. Eight of them are people of color. Six of them are male.... Six of them are women.”

On NBC’s Today, Peter Alexander stuck to race and gender issues: “NBC News has confirmed that Biden selected Ohio Congresswoman Marsha Fudge to lead the Department of Housing and Urban Development. If confirmed, she would be the first black woman to hold that post in decades.”

On ABC’s Good Morning America, Mary Bruce similarly glossed over what should be a controversy: “[Biden] made this announcement, of course, as he was unveiling his health team. And this morning, some new names for his cabinet. We have learned he plans to name Ohio representative Marcia Fudge to be the Housing secretary.”

Now, as The Daily Caller's Greg Price on Twitter pointed out, journalists had no problem covering this story when it was opposition research from fellow liberal Nancy Pelosi. In 2018, the powerful Democrat saw Fudge as a threat:

In addition to vouching for a violent man who would murder his ex-wife, the Congresswoman is a radical liberal. Her lifetime American Conservative Union score 3.42. Her 2019 score was 0.
