On CBS, Lefty Actress Bashes ‘Unindicted Co-Conspirator’ Trump, Kavanaugh

Apparently getting arrested is the cool thing to do. CBS's Late Late Show host James Corden on Tuesday interviewed actress Piper Perabo and prompted the Coyote Ugly star to brag about protesting Brett Kavanaugh.

After gushing about how “exciting” it was, Perabo proclaimed, “I feel that this president is an unindicted co-conspirator in a felony investigation and he shouldn't be allowed to appoint justices until that matter is cleared up. You shouldn't be allowed to pick your own judges.”

Corden uncritically responded, “Sure. Absolutely.” The host made the whole thing sound thrilling, cheering, “It does sound exciting.” Perabo enthused, “It was kind of like a movie. I wanted to get the mug shot like Jane Fonda but they don't do that for this.”

This is the same actress who, last year, described Kavanaugh and the Republicans as GOP rapists.

A transcript of the exchange is below:

JAMES CORDEN: Last year, you went to the Brett Kavanaugh hearings as a protest and you got arrested. What was that experience like?

PIPER PERABO: Have you ever been arrested?

CORDEN: I have not been arrested. No.

PERABO: I got so excited. It was terrifying. Because I never was arrested before, and you have to stand up in the Senate building while the senators are speaking and interrupt and say "I object."

CORDEN: Right.

PERABO: And I feel that this president is an unindicted co-conspirator in a felony investigation and he shouldn't be allowed to appoint justices until that matter is cleared up. You shouldn't be allowed to pick your own judges.

CORDEN: Sure. Absolutely. And so how long, when you get arrested, where do you get taken to? What happens?

PERABO: They take you out of the Senate room where the big hearing is, and they take your stuff and put you in handcuffs and put you in a truck with all the other ladies that got arrested. All these women stood up to object. Then they drive you to the police station. And you get processed.

CORDEN: It does sound exciting.

PERABO: It was kind of like a movie. I wanted to get the mug shot like Jane Fonda but they don't do that for this.
