MSNBC: Flaunt Your Liberalism With Our ‘Hardball' Tank Top and Maddow Mug!

You might find it weird that a network where socialism is embraced would have its own store, but MSNBC has products to sell you. The cable channel is now running ads for its own branded products, touting the motto: “Wear your heart on your everything!” Where else would you get a Chris Matthews “unisex tri-blend” tank top? (Sure to give you a thrill up your leg!)

Who wouldn’t want an Ari Melber iPhone case for only $29.95? In 2010, MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell bragged, “I am a socialist. I live to the extreme left, the extreme left of you mere liberals.”

Yet, that doesn’t stop MSNBC from selling pricey $39.95 O’Donnell “lightweight zip up hooded sweatshirts.” You may be a socialist, but you can also be a warm and snug socialist.

In 2014, then-MSNBC host Ed Schultz started a segment by cheering, “Here’s some good socialism!” Schultz is no longer with the network, but you can still purchase the “official Morning Joe ceramic mug.” It's the "same mug that Joe, Mika and Willie use." (Smugness included?)

MSNBC ads have a history of being unintentionally funny. One promo in the fall of 2017 laughably claimed, “This is not an echo chamber.”

Speaking of merchandise, in 2010 Maddow visited the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) and saw the Media Research Center’s booth, complete with MRC “stomp out the liberal media” doormats. (See below.)

The liberal host was only offended that we had Matthews and Keith Olbermann mats. No Maddow ones were available. “No one wants to stomp me out,” she joked.
