Paranoid Kathy Griffin: ‘Of Course’ President Trump Had Me Investigated

April 27th, 2018 5:17 PM

Less than a year after Kathy Griffin was pictured holding a fake bloodied, severed head of Donald Trump last May, the far-left comedian claims that the president has a “vendetta” against her and personally ordered Secret Service agents to investigate her. Griffin made the accusations while a guest on ABC’s Start Here podcast after host Brad Mielke wanted to know from her if the President took those actions just to make her life miserable.

“Of course,” she replied. “You know how he works.”

The comedian’s interview formed the basis of an article by Mielke and Editor/Producer Stephen Iervolino on the ABC News website. Griffin was quoted as stating:

What I didn't realize is I was just being thrown into, like, the Trump wood chipper.

I didn't realize that day that they already had this apparatus in place. You know, how to coordinate with [Sean] Hannity and Fox News and how to coordinate with TMZ.

While she did not provide any evidence to support her claim, Griffin said: "You know, he has a vendetta against certain people."

The liberal comedian added during the interview that she will attend Saturday's White House Correspondents Dinner even though the President has indicated that he will not attend the event.

“Griffin said she's done apologizing,” Mielke and Iervolino stated. And just to prove that the foul-mouthed liberal didn’t learn anything from being investigated by the Secret Service, she has re-named her tour “Laugh Your Head Off.”

"Of course I wish Trump was going,” she added. “I've known this fool off and on for like 20 years,” and “he can’t take a joke.”

In Trump’s place will be his press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders and, on that Griffin ruled that “[t]here's something funny to me about [her] sitting in.”

“Trump is so twisted I have not ruled out the idea that it's going to be Trump just wearing a Sarah Huckabee Sanders skin suit like Silence of the Lambs, just 'cause you know he likes to act like he doesn't care what people say about him.”

“But he obviously does,” she added.

After being investigated for nearly two months, Griffin announced that she had been cleared of any charges. Following day of unbridled controversy, the comedian apologized for the stunt in a 31-second-long video on Twitter.

But in their article, Mielke and Iervolino stated that Griffin “later changed her mind 'one thousand percent,' telling ABC News she was the unwitting victim of an organized messaging machine to tear her down.”

As NewsBusters previously reported, the stunt resulted in the liberal comic losing her annual gig of co-hosting CNN’s New Year’s Eve coverage with Anderson Cooper.

Nevertheless, several leftist celebrities rushed to Griffin’s defense, including Alec Baldwin, who tweeted: "Kathy … f**k them. F**k them all. No 1 believes u meant 2 threaten Trump. Trump is such a senile idiot, all he has is Twitter fights. Ignore him. Like all the leaders of the other countries in the world. Ignore him.”

Joy Behar, one of the liberal hosts on ABC’s The View, lamented Griffin’s situation as an “assault on comedians” and “overkill” as she's not as heinous as Charles Manson.

Of course, if Griffin had pulled a similar stunt when Barack Obama was in the White House, she would have been soundly booed off the stage, but the sky’s the limit with GOP President Donald Trump. Who knows what kind of profane and embarrassing comments she’ll make at the dinner on Saturday?
